The Critical Thought encourages you to think critically about the teachings of Jehovah's Witnesses. As former members and teachers in this group, we have inside knowledge to help raise public awareness. We understand the psychological tactics the organization uses to attract new members. Our goal isn't to attack the religion, but to share what we've learned about how the group operates. We want to expose the false teachings they use to control their followers. Many members carry a heavy burden of shame, fear, and guilt, struggling to keep up with the group's expectations. Some want to leave but stay out of fear of losing family and friends, pretending to be committed when they're not.Through our platform, we hope to help anyone feeling trapped by the group's impossible standards or prevent others from joining. We aim to support educators, mend broken family relationships, and motivate people to pursue their education. If we can help even one person, we consider that a success.

The Deathbed Confession That Exposed the Cost of 1975 | Jehovah's Witnesses

Send us Fan Mail For many Jehovah’s Witnesses, 1975 was more than just a date. It was a period that shaped life decisions, family relationships, education, careers, and personal identity for decades to come. In this interview, Gail Kelly shares her personal experience growing up during the buildup to 1975 — a time when many Jehovah’s Witnesses believed Armageddon was very near. Her family sold their home, moved across the country, and reorganized their lives around those beliefs. But when 1975 came and went, the emotional and psychological impact did not disappear. This conversation explores: the pressure surrounding 1975 the “human cost” of end-times expectations shunning and family separation conditional relationships inside high-control religion and the lasting emotional consequences that followed for many former Jehovah’s Witnesses This story eventually came full circle through: a heartbreaking deathbed confession from Gail’s father and later, learning of her mother’s passing through a Facebook obituary Related Videos ▶️ An Elder’s Regret Deathbed Confession (Facing Mortality) ▶️ Elder's Deathbed Confession & Facebook Obituary Thank you for watching EXJW Critical Thinker. Japan's Crack Down - Jehovah's Witness Governing Body Struggling to Survive

Send us a text When the former Prime Minister of Japan was assassinated in 2022, the investigation uncovered deep ties between the attacker and a high-control religious group known as the Moonies. Jehovah's Witness Leaders Tricked Us Out of College

Send us a text What happens when a religion tells millions of people that higher education is “dangerous”? For decades, Jehovah’s Witnesses were discouraged from going to college. It wasn’t a written ban, but elders, conventions, and Watchtower publications reinforced the message until it became a cultural rule. Careers, scholarships, and futures were lost. In this panel discussion, JT and Lady Cee sit down with fellow former Jehovah’s Witnesses to share how this teaching shaped their lives. Together we’ll cover: • The talks, articles, and letters used to discourage education. • How elders enforced it in local congregations. • Real stories from EXJWs who lost opportunities, scholarships, or careers. • The sudden shift: why the Watchtower now calls it a “matter of conscience.” • The lasting impact on finances, self-worth, and family life. 🎓 Whether you grew up as a Witness, left recently, or are just curious how doctrine controls life choices, this panel pulls back the curtain on how one religion controlled education for generations.   👉 Subscribe and join the conversation in the comments — your story matters too. 1-800-Heavenn (Access Denied) - Jehovah's Witnesses Version of Salvation

Send us a text Episode uploaded from April 18, 2025 This week, millions of Christians reflect on Jesus — especially during the Easter season. But for Jehovah’s Witnesses, that relationship is framed in a very different way. No More Seats in Heaven - Reserved for Jehovah's Witnesses Only

Send us a text In this video, JT from EXJW Critical Thinker breaks down the absurdity behind the Jehovah's Witness belief of the 144,000 — a symbolic number that they treat like an actual headcount for heaven. For over a century, the Watchtower has kept followers focused on this limited number, creating pressure, confusion, and division. With the memorial season bringing in record numbers and a heavy push to recruit old contacts, it’s time to call it what it is: a number game that’s gone too far. Join us as we expose the satire behind the 144,000 doctrine and why it leaves no seats in heaven for anyone outside their ranks. Did You Notice a Different Vibe at the 2025 Jehovah's Witness Memorial

Send us a text The vibe was definitely off at this year’s Jehovah’s Witness Memorial — and people are talking. In this powerful breakdown from EXJW Critical Thinker, JT walks you through the subtle — and not-so-subtle — shifts that made the 2025 Memorial unlike any we’ve seen before. From the sudden flood of phone calls to disfellowshipped members, to awkward in-person moments and emotionally charged invitations, it’s clear something has changed. What we cover: Watchtower's response to legal pressure over shunning New freedom to contact “removed” members… but at what cost? PIMOs showing up just to avoid family drama The strange shift from reverent to performative And yes… people using the emblems like photo booth props This isn’t just another Memorial recap — it’s a real look at how control, image, and numbers still run the show. 👇 Share your thoughts below. Jehovah's Witnesses and the Paranoia Trap

Send us a text Paranoia isn’t just a passing fear—it’s a powerful tool used to control people. In this episode, we’re diving deep into how paranoia is woven into the teachings of Jehovah’s Witnesses and the lasting psychological impact it has on members. Jehovah’s Witnesses are taught to fear the outside world, believe that Satan is lurking behind every corner, and view former members as dangerous. This constant state of fear isolates them from society and keeps them loyal to the organization. But here’s the good news—paranoia is learned, and it can be unlearned. Join me, Lady Cee, as we break down: 🔹 What paranoia really is 🔹 How Jehovah’s Witness teachings foster a culture of fear 🔹 The emotional and psychological toll on members 🔹 Steps to break free from paranoia and reclaim your trust in the world If you’ve ever struggled with fear and mistrust after leaving a high-control group, you’re not alone. Jehovah's Witnesses: Are Their Failed Teachings the Closest Thing to the Truth?

Send us a text What do you do when an organization claims to have the truth—but its predictions keep failing? Do you keep trusting them, or do you start asking questions?   Jehovah’s Witnesses have a long history of failed predictions—Armageddon in 1914, then 1925, then 1975, then “the generation that will not pass.” But instead of admitting they were wrong; they just keep moving the goalposts. And now? Many Jehovah’s Witnesses justify it by saying, "Well, it was the closest thing to the truth.  But is close good enough? In Hidden Figures, astronaut John Glenn refused to launch until he had the exact number—because his life depended on it. Yet the Watchtower has convinced millions to quit their jobs, avoid college, and never save for retirement based on wrong calculations.  JT & Lady Cee break it all down in this explosive episode—showing why ‘almost true’ is still false when the stakes are high. If the numbers don’t add up, maybe it’s time to rethink who’s running the calculations.  🔔 Subscribe for more thought-provoking content! 👍🏽 Like & Share if you've ever been told to trust something that turned out to be wrong. 🗣 Join the Discussion in the comments—how did you react when you first learned about the failed predictions?
