Ep.22: When Your Heart Knows its Own Bitterness - and Finds Its Joy: Birthday Special
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
This year’s birthday carried a kind of beauty and healing I never expected. Just three days before turning 33, I lost my grandma — and with her passing, God began to reveal something deep in my heart. For years, my birthdays were wrapped in disappointment. I often gave others the power to determine how special I felt, expecting them to celebrate me the way I celebrated them. And when that didn’t happen, bitterness settled in.
But this year, everything shifted. In those three days of grief and reflection, God spoke three things to me:
1️⃣ I’m allowed to make myself happy — it’s not anyone else’s job to do that for me.
2️⃣ Jesus rose on the third day.
3️⃣ Proverbs 14:10 — “Each heart knows its own bitterness, and no one else can fully share its joy.”
What started as a painful week turned into a resurrection moment — the death of my old self and the beginning of something new. At 33, I see how God used loss, healing, and revelation to bring me into freedom and joy that only He can give.
Join me as I share what it means to let go of bitterness, embrace personal joy, and celebrate the quiet resurrection God can bring in our hearts.

Ep 20. PSA: Nothing Can Separate You From Christ's Love
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
Have you ever gone through a season where you weren’t in church or didn’t feel as close to God — and started to wonder if He was disappointed in you? You’re not alone.
In this episode, I talk story about what it really means to walk with God even when your faith doesn’t look “traditional.” We’ll look at Romans 8:38–39 and the powerful reminder that nothing — not distance, not doubt, not your current season — can separate you from Christ’s love.
💛 This one’s for the sis who needs to be reminded that God’s love never left. He’s still right where He’s always been — with you.

Ep. 19: Don't Disqualify Yourself- God Chooses the Willing, not the Perfect
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
Have you ever felt like you’re not “spiritual enough” to help someone else? Like you don’t know enough Scripture, or you’re still figuring things out yourself? You’re not alone.
In this episode, I talk story about learning to stop disqualifying myself and start trusting that if God calls me to something, He’ll equip me for it. We’ll look at Romans 12:8 and talk about how God uses hearts that are willing, not perfect — and how sometimes, your “yes” is the very thing He’ll use to reach someone else.
💛 This one’s a reminder for the sis who doubts her calling: God already knows your weaknesses, and He chose you anyway.

Ep.18: Grace to the Sis Who's Trying- A Reminder You're Not Alone
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
Life gets busy. You fall behind on reading, prayer, or the things you meant to do for God — and suddenly, guilt creeps in. But missing a few things doesn’t mean you’ve missed Him.
In this first episode, I talk story about the pressure to keep up, what God showed me through Romans 12:3, and a conversation with a friend who felt embarrassed about her own faith journey. We’ll talk about what it really means to walk with God when you’re human, tired, and still trying.
💛 This one’s for the sis who’s doing her best but feels behind — a gentle reminder that you’re not alone, and God’s still right there beside you.

S2Ep16:Smiling Through the Pain: My Broken Smile & Struggle with Self-Esteem [Let’s Talk About It]
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
For years, I was smiling on the outside but hurting on the inside. My smile was something I tried to hide, and along with it, my self-esteem. In this episode, I’m opening up about my backstory — growing up with a smile I felt ashamed of, the insecurities that came with it, and what led me to finally begin the journey of changing it.
This isn’t just about teeth — it’s about how we carry pain we think nobody sees. And how those insecurities can shape the way we see ourselves.
If you’ve ever struggled with confidence, appearance, or feeling “less than,” this one’s for you. 💔

Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
In this episode, I’m talking story about one of the biggest parenting choices I’ve made so far — not giving my kids a cell phone (yet). 📵 As a mom, I’ve seen the pressures, distractions, and behaviors that can come with phones, and I’m learning how to set boundaries that actually help my kids grow.
I’m not here to say what every parent should do — just sharing my own heart, struggles, and what I’ve noticed with my own kids. If you’ve ever wrestled with the cell phone question (or felt the pressure from everyone else doing it), this one’s for you.
Let’s talk about it.

Welcome to a brand new season of the podcast — because honestly, something’s gotta change. In this episode, I’m opening up about where I’m at, why I’ve been rethinking how I do this show, and the new direction I feel God leading me in.
No pressure, no preaching — just me, talking story about faith, life, and the real stuff we go through. I’m excited (and a little nervous) to shift things up, but I know it’s time.
So let’s talk stories about change, growth, and what’s ahead for the Faith & Aloha Podcast.

Ep 10: When Small Things Set You Off - An Invitation to Heal
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
Have you ever found yourself angry or deeply emotional over something small, and thought, “Where did that come from?”
In this episode of The Faith & Aloha Show, I’m opening up about my own recent experiences with unexpected anger and emotional reactions — and how God has been gently inviting me to look deeper.
Inspired by an email I received at just the right moment, I realized that these emotional “flare-ups” aren’t always failures… they’re signals. God doesn’t expose our raw places to shame us, but to heal us.
We’ll explore scriptures like Psalm 139:23–24 and Proverbs 4:23, and talk about how to start bringing those hidden hurts to God instead of burying them.
This is a gentle, real invitation to look within — and begin a deeper journey of healing with Him.

Ep: 9: Praying for Specifics- and trusting God with the Outcome
Episode in
Faith In Between
Text the show! The link’s in the episode notes — let’s talk story
Take two! My apologies upload the wrong audio file lol I promise this is the correct one now.
Have you ever felt like your prayers were too specific… like maybe you were asking for too much, or that God wouldn’t really care about the little details of your life? Same.
In this episode of The Faith & Aloha Show, I’m opening up about what it looks like to pray bold, specific prayers — even when it feels risky. We’ll look at scriptures like Philippians 4:6 and Mark 10:51–52, where Jesus Himself asks, “What do you want Me to do for you?”
I’ll also be sharing a personal story — the prayer I prayed over our home — and how that moment taught me to stop holding back and start trusting God with the desires of my heart.
If you’ve ever wrestled with vague prayers, disappointment, or fear of being too much — this episode is for you.
Scriptures Highlighted:
Philippians 4:6 – “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything…”
Mark 10:51–52 – “What do you want me to do for you?” Jesus asked.
Key Themes:
How fear makes us pray small
Why Jesus wants us to be honest and clear in prayer
Real-life story of praying for a home
Encouragement to pray boldly and specifically this week
Challenge:
This week, write down one very specific prayer and bring it to God every day. Watch how He meets you in it — whether the outcome changes or you do.

Ep 6: Irritating, Bossy... or Just Built to Lead?
Episode in
Faith In Between
Have you ever been told you’re too much? Too loud, too bossy, too assertive?
Growing up, I was often labeled that way — and for a long time, I believed it. I learned to shrink parts of myself just to keep the peace.
But recently, something shifted. A moment with my principal — a comment I would’ve once taken as criticism — made me pause… and smile. Because maybe the traits people tried to silence were actually God-given tools for leadership.
In this episode, I’m unpacking how we can stop apologizing for our wiring and start surrendering it to God instead. What was once seen as a flaw might just be the fire behind your calling.
🎧 Tune in to hear:
A story about reframing “irritating” and “bossy” into purpose
How God redeems misunderstood traits
Why you don’t need to tone yourself down — just tune yourself to His voice

Episode in
Faith In Between
Have you ever felt like you were falling behind in life?
Like you needed to hustle, strive, or prove yourself to get ahead?
I’ve been there — trying different things, chasing opportunities, hoping something would stick. But all it did was leave me tired, discouraged, and feeling more behind than before.
In this episode of The Faith & Aloha Show, I’m sharing what it looked like to finally leave the fast lane and trust God’s slower, steadier path instead.
Spoiler: That’s when doors started opening — not because I forced them, but because I finally let go.
Featuring:
📖 Psalm 37:7 – “Be still… and wait patiently for Him to act.”

Episode 4: "When God's Voice Feels Quiet - After You Step into the Calling"
Episode in
Faith In Between
You finally said yes. You stepped out in obedience. You moved forward in faith…
So why does it feel so quiet now?
In this episode of The Faith & Aloha Show, I’m opening up about the unexpected silence I felt after stepping into what I knew God was calling me to.
The confirmations were loud and clear — until I actually got there. That silence felt scary… until I realized it wasn’t punishment — it was an invitation to trust.
Let’s talk about what it means to walk by faith when you no longer hear Him as clearly, and how stillness can grow your strength more than a thousand signs ever could.
Featuring:
📖 2 Corinthians 5:7
📖 Deuteronomy 31:8
📖 Psalm 37:7
💬 and the quote: “God is teaching you how to be silent in a frustrated season. The less you say, the more He moves. Stay silent.”

Transitions can look like blessings on the outside — but still feel heavy on the inside. In this episode of The Faith & Aloha Show, I’m sharing how God is teaching me to find joy, not in the ease of the season, but in the endurance He’s building through it.
We’re digging into James 1:2-4 and what it really means to count it all joy — even when you’re stretched, tired, and still figuring it out.

In this episode of The Faith & Aloha Show, I’m sharing what it’s been like stepping into a new season — from being a stay-at-home mom for years to now working outside the home. The transition hasn’t been easy. It’s been stretching, humbling, and honestly… exhausting. But in the middle of the chaos, God has been teaching me that grace doesn’t require perfection — just presence.
If you’ve ever found yourself trying to keep up, figure it out, or wondering if you’re doing enough, this one’s for you. Let’s talk about the mental, emotional, and spiritual shifts that come with change — and how we can stay rooted in faith even when life feels all over the place.

Finding True Fulfillment: Wisdom, Faith, and your Journey to Becoming
Episode in
Faith In Between
Can obtaining knowledge & wisdom truly bring joy and fulfillment beyond material possessions? In todayʻs episode, I share with you how God has since opened my heart and mind to many realizations, especially how important Wisdom is in our lives. In this season I find myself extra busy as I return to school at 32. I am now having to navigate the complex dynamics of family life and academic ambitions. Inspired by Proverbs 8, I share what God has since put on my heart that is relevant for each of us in our journeyʻs no matter where you are or what you're doing in this season that God has you in. Come join me today and let's talk stories!
Flow of show
Main: Knowledge and Wisdom- Proverbs 8
Proverbs 8:1: Listen wisdom calls out! Here as understanding raises her voice!
#1. Wisdom verses knowledge
Proverbs 8:8-9 [NLT]: My advice is wholesome. There is nothing devious or crooked in it. My words are plain to anyone with understanding and clear to those with knowledge.
wisdom [noun]: learning and the capacity to use it.
Knowledge [noun]: something learned and remembered, gained by experience. a students dictionary, by dictionaryproject.org
#2. What is a Community Health Worker
A community Health worker (CHW) is a frontline public health worker who is a trusted member of and/or has an unusually close understanding of the community it serves. This trusting relationship enables the CHW to serve as a liaison/link/intermediary between health/social services and the community to facilitate access to services and improve the quality and cultural competence of service delivery. ACHW also builds individual and community capacity by increasing health knowledge and self-sufficiency through a range of activities such as outreach, community education, informal counseling, social support, and advocacy. (APHA, 2009)
#3. Proverbs 8: 32-36 [NLT]: and so my children, listen to me, for all who follow my ways are joyful. Listen to my instructions and be wise. Don't ignore it. Joyful are those who listen to me, watching for me daily at my gates, waiting for me outside my home! for whoever finds me finds life and receives favor from the Lord. But those who miss me injure themselves all who hate me love death.
Proverbs 9:10: Fear of the Lord is the foundation of wisdom. Knowledge of the Holy One results in good judgment."

Trusting the Process: We are the clay and God is the Potter
Episode in
Faith In Between
Have you ever gone through a tough season that has broken you down? Was it scary? were you unsure of the outcome because what you saw in front of you was a mess and not a masterpiece yet? then I think we can talk stories today. In this episode, I talk about the challenges that I have been facing in my marriage and how God was showing me that I needed to trust him to break down that which was not satisfying to him and rebuild something better. Buckle up because we're going way back to the beginning and sharing those spaces that for me are some of the hardest things to admit on my show, but I believe it's a conversation that needs to happen for a lot of local women like me.
The Flow of the Show
Main: Breaking and Rebuilding
Breaking it down and starting againJeremiah 18:1-6
my marriage
What we do during the breaking part mattersJeremiah 18:7-10
turning from our sin
Making things new, making a way throughIsaiah 43:19

Final thoughts: Do we trust GodDo we trust that God is the potter and we are the clay
I love how God can take us where we are, break us down, and rebuild us to something new.
Scriptures
Jeremiah 18:1-6: The Lord gave another message to Jeremiah. He said, "Go down to the potterʻs shop, and I will speak to you there." so I did as he told me and found the potter working at his wheel. but the jar he was making did not turn out as he had hoped, so he crushed it into a lump of clay again and started over. Then the Lord gave me this message. "O Israel, can I not do to you as this potter has done to his clay? As the clay is in the potterʻs hand so are you in my hand."
Jeremiah 18:7-10: If I announce that a certain nation or kingdom is to be uprooted, torn down, and destroyed, but then that nation renounces its evil ways, I will not destroy it as I had planned. And if I announce that I will plant and build up a certain nation or kingdom, but then the nation turns to evil and refuses to obey me, I will not bless it as I said I would.
Isaiah 43:19: For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? I will make a pathway through the wilderness. I will create rivers in the dry wasteland.

Fear Series/Part 3: Faith Over Fear: Finding our Faith; in the midst of our Fear.
Episode in
Faith In Between
I know you're all wondering what this last part of our series would be talking about, and if I'm honest it took me a while to hear God's voice on it. I kept feeling as if we were going to talk about many different things. Until God told me it would be Faith because faith is the thing that will get us out of all of our biggest roadblocks, especially fear. Like I say, " Faith is the Crypitinite to fear". don't you agree? Join me today as we talk stories about our faith, something so seemingly simple yet difficult to hold on to in those seasons of fear.
The Flow of show
*this is a three-part series your listening to part 3 of 3
Main: Faith
The foundation of our faith comes from our secret place with God
"Nothing tests your faith more than nothing"
It tasks faith all the time
Yaweh Yireh (God will provide)
Scriptures
Hebrews 11:1:(AMP) Now Faith is the assurance (title deed, confirmation) of things hoped for (divinely guaranteed), and the evidence of things not seen [the conviction of their reality- Faith comprehends as fact what cannot be experienced by the physical senses]
Romans 1:5: (MSG) Through him we received both the generous gift of his life and the urgent task of passing it on to others who receive it by entering into obedient trust in Jesus.
Romans 1:16-17 (AMP); I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is the power of God for salvation [ from His wrath and punishment] to everyone who believes [in Christ as Savior], to the jew first and also to the Greek. For in the gospel the righteousness pf God is revealed, both springing from faith and leading to faith [disclosed in a way that awakens more faith]. As it is written and forever remains written, "the Just and upright shall live by faith." [Hab 2:4]
Matthew 6:30 (NLT): 'And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith? '
