Back to school edition! It's been a long long long long long long time. Our first recording with Brad McDonald was unceremoniously deleted (by me), so we managed to get our favorite friend and funnyman Brad aka Brandon aka Bradald back on the pod to talk about Ezra Edelman's epic documentary O.J. Made in America, then onto more socially pressing topics like the meatball sub at Subway and why my jokes suck. Navin and I talk about David Simon's new miniseries "Show Me a Hero" and the recent biopic "Straight Outta Compton" which covers the early careers of Dr. Dre and Ice Cube among others. disclaimer: these films/tv series are a lot more coherent than my plot synopses let on...!

We watched Pier Paolo Pasolini's 1975 "Salò" and lived to tell the tale. If you're inspired to watch it too, tell us what you think. Finishing up with a palate cleanser, and what we agree is the best comedy series out right now - "Rick and Morty." It's fantastic.

What if Putin told you to make a PSA about the dangers of teen sex but it HAD to be in the style of a feature length horror film? "It Follows" would win best film hands down! Navin and I review this great slasher flick which debuted late last March and can now be found anywhere online. Wow this podkast is overdue. Thanks to the overwhelming mountain of fan mail we received in our absence. And thanks Mavis, I had a great time with you in Minnesota.

It's all over you guys. Eight years of Mad Men came to a close two nights ago and we are REALLY excited to talk about it. Though, you will have to wade through some inevitable Sopranos digressions and my annoying habit of referring to marriage as 'the conjugal knot.' this movie was really NOT what we expected. David Hollingshead and Jen Schnepf join in to give us their reading of the movie, and whether it's really plausible that Dakota Johnson's character has no idea what a butt plug is. David sums up this movie best when he says, "Anastasia Steele’s armpits are the star of this movie." We didn't want to submit ourselves to this film, but in the end it totally dominated us all.
