Finding My Path

Patience is a civil & transportation engineer by profession and is currently pursuing her masters studies at the University of Birmingham .  Part of her inspiration for this career path came as a result of the exposure she got, watching her dad who worked in the contracting business and finding it interesting. . This exposure in addition to being good in science subjects, led to this career path choice.  As a senior construction inspector at the Illinois Department of Transportation, Patience has to constantly prove herself by showing that she is the right fit for the position and capable of doing her job. Patience also shares some advice on choosing this path as a career path as well.
