Lightning: Scattered to locally numerous thunderstorms are once again possible today particularly across the interior and Gulf coast regions this afternoon and evening. Elsewhere, isolated to scattered thunderstorms are possible this morning into early afternoon along the southeast Florida coast. Main concern will be the possibility of a few strong storms particularly across the interior capable of producing frequent lightning strikes. Hail: Strongest storms today will be capable of producing small hail as well. Wind: Wind gusts in excess of 40 mph with one or two of the strongest storms are possible capable of resulting in isolated areas of minor wind damage. Temperature: Heat indices in excess of 100 degrees are likely today across much of south Florida particularly across the interior and Gulf coast.
