Healing in the Akashic Records with Kat Barker.

#013 - Enjoy this conversation with intuitive empath, story teller, shamanic healer, comedian, teacher, writer, and speaker as she shares her spiritual journey towards healing herself and others through inner work and spiritual modalities including the Akashic Records.  In this episode we discuss: How an impromptu intuitive reading lead her from LA to the Chicago improv scene and how that work ultimately cultivated her ability to channel.  How life's challenges often facilitate inner spiritual work and growth. Her experience with Shamanic Craniosacral Therapy and how she came to transitioning to working as a healer. The challenges and gifts that come with being an empath. The process of healing trauma and how it requires healing of mind, body and spirit. How resistance to feeling our authentic emotions can keep us stuck in the same emotional patterns. What the Akashic Records are and how they help us look deeper into the soul. The four clairs of intuition and what they mean: clairvoyance, clairaudient, clairsentient, claircognizant.  Our apprehensions about sharing this type of work and how some scientists are starting to bridge the gap to bring spiritual practices into the mainstream medical model.  If you're interested in learning more about Kat and her courses, services and other offerings, visit her website at https://www.sheholdsthelight.com. Courtney Parks teaches us the real meaning of Success Without Exhaustion and how to recognize and break through internal barriers that may be holding us back from truly living into our highest potential. We openly share examples of moving through our own glass ceilings and Courtney shares a mini coaching process with me at the end of the episode to help me level up in my career. In this episode we discuss: Courtney shares her story of how she transitioned from traditional psychotherapy to creating her own positively-focused coaching program to help women love what they do without burning out in the process. How aligning your head with your heart is where the magic happens to allow us to move through limits and challenges with more ease. How work and career can actually compliment your life instead of getting in the way of living it. Recognizing and moving on from the "no pain, no gain" mentality and other hidden money beliefs that might be holding us back. How to tell if you're being redirected by the Universe vs having a limiting belief. Understanding our internal protective mechanism and how to work with it and manage it at a healthy level as we level up in an area of our lives.
