From The Soapbox

The From The Soapbox trio follow up their previous interview with Dr. Andy Storey with a discussion of the aftermath of the British Referendum to leave the European Union. The guys discuss all the political fallout from the successful leave vote. Some divisive issues arise such as The current labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, the second coming of Margaret Thatcher, and the desire of one panel member to see Northern Ireland as its own independent nation. NOTE: Since recording Theresa May has been named as the Conservative Party leader and Prime Minister.

In this lite episode of From The Soapbox, Craig Farrell has an in-depth discussion with UCD lecturer Dr. Andy Storey regarding the pros and cons of both sides of Brexit, the UK’s referendum European Union membership. Stephen Campbell and Patrick Fleming are AWOL from this episode, but the panel will return to discussion the results of the referendum as well as the analysis that Dr. Storey gives in this interview. Scottish Independence, a united Ireland and Basque and Catalan separatism all features in this gripping discussion.

Undoubtedly, this is one of the most anticipated episodes that the ‘From The Soapbox’ trio produced thus far. Craig, Stephen, and Patrick become embroiled in debate over conspiracy and the merits of much of what former economic hitman John Perkins has to say on a range of topics such as economic destabilisation, political assisinations, oil, water, privitisation, lobby groups, Israel, the CIA and much, much more.

The ideals, aspirations, and legacy of one of the most important events in Irish history are explored, with expert analysis from Dr. Kieran Allen and Tom Stokes to help guide the way.
