Presented by Head of News Bernadette Prendergast, it is a chance to reflect on the year gone by and to hear, in a different way, from the people who represent so many of you across the city and county. They will also share their Christmas memories, with a few funny tales along the way.

Generation Fleadh is launching this week in Galway city, and Sarah Slevin has been chatting to council member Eabha Leech.
Eabha, a film studies graduate, gives some early and exclusive details of the festival, bringing film culture to young people across Galway City and County.
Generation Fleadh runs from October 23rd to 26th 2024, and is the younger half of the Galway Film Fleadh for people aged 12 – 24.
The 4-day event will include film screenings and an educational film programme, along with youth review panels.

Galway-born cruise Captain Brian Whelan made one Donegal girl's day by reuniting her with her cherished teddy rabbit after it was left behind during a family holiday aboard the Princess Cruise Line. When Sophie’s mother, Mona, realised the prized toy had been accidentally forgotten, she turned to social media for help. Thanks to the quick response from Captain Whelan and his crew, Sophie’s beloved toy was soon tracked down and returned to her, bringing a heartwarming end to the holiday mishap.
Ronan Lardner from The Live Wire tracked down the Galway Sea Captain who reunited a little Donegal girl with her beloved teddy, Rabbie.

Taoiseach Simon Harris has officially opened the new 50 bed ward block at Portiuncula Hospital in Ballinasloe
The project is providing replacement beds rather than extra beds, but in far more modern facilities, including single-bed private rooms.
The Taoiseach met with hospital staff, local councillors and elected members, most of whom have been involved in this project since it broke ground in 2019
He says this new block will be transformational for the hospital
