Jon's out this week right, and Chris and Shaun swore the episode might be the shortest ever. The opposite happened. It turned out to be one of the longer episodes. In part due to an exquisite review of not only the newly released DLC for Cuphead - The Delicious Last Course - but also something magical. Quite possibly the best set of emails ever written to the show. It was not one, but the collective bunch.  For now, Chris replayed Cuphead from the beginning. All in all - including the DLC, says this is a TAHP NATCH experience. It will be cool to see what this studio does in the future for now, we are grateful to have this journey. In this week's episode - the boys take on a game that a mere day ago - Shaun didn't even know what the F*#k it was. As it turns out, it's quite the little point and click title. Jon was the main person with knowledge, as he put the most time in stabbing and death trapping people down to the chamber of meat grindness. Wait, what??? Did you just read that right?? Yes. Set in a very overcooked/cooking mama vs Sweeny Todd vibe - this game is about keeping a business alive doing what you just read. The crazy thing - you are totally routing for them! In this week's episode - well, we noted it was the shortest episode in some time. That's right, we clocked in right around one and a half hours. Partly due to the game -but not in a bad way. Chris really liked it and admitted to the nostalgia of TMNT: Shredder's Revenge...the good and the bad parts of said nostalgia.  Was there sufficient tubular-ness, cowabunga's - galore, pizza??? This week it's all about tactical shooting and espionage and what not. In the game Sniper Elite 5 - you are dubbed "the shadow". However, during this weeks recording we learned Jon is more like the EFFING SUNSHINE when he plays. This is the 5th installment of the main Sniper Elite series per the title, coming directly after Sniper Elite 4 but it's still around the time frame of the event in Sniper Elite 2. This takes place in France, or as Shaun said it 'Franch". This was quickly picked up by the stream chat over on twitch - and we learned one loyal listener would prefer her ranch packet - sorry "Franch" packet left out of her Mississippi Pot Roast. In the post hang - We tried to talk about acting, but then Stallone got brought up and Shaun totally trolled Jon. Topic - This week - the boys opened up a lengthy discussion on the event that was Xbox & Bethesda's 2022 Showcase. There some really good things and there maybe was some things we collectively didn't care about per se. What we did get, was our first extensive look into the new Bethesda IP - Starfield.  Super cool to finally see it...like see it. Now, we may not get this game until the tail end of 2023...but at lease we've seeeeeen it. For those who stopped by the stream (we had some first timers!) - thank you! This week we explored the even that was Sony's State of Play that streamed on 5/31/22. We pretty much agreed it was a good event, not historic OR bad...but good. Jon's highlight was Resident Evil 4 being remade with a release date!  For Shaun, he was happy for all the confirmed PSVR 2 games - but wanted a release date/pricing....something! For Chris, his highlight the Final Fantasy 16 trailer. Coming next week we get potentially more big news hopefully with Summer Games Fest 2022 and Xbox's Showcase for June 12, with a follow up (deeper dive) in 6/14/22. This week we learned about how scary ghosts in Japan are ANNNNNND how much fun Jon had/is having playing Ghostwire: Tokyo. Currently a PS5/PC exclusive - we learned about how scary of a vibe this game gives...maybe eerie is better. Either way...it's right up Jon's wheelhouse.  A great point brought up by Chris, this COULD BE Bethesda's last new  game on a PlayStation platform for sometime, maybe even ever.  Speaking of ever, have you...yes YOU ever stopped by and watched the show live on twitch? This week is all about a Samurai game that Chris and Shaun played via Xbox's Game Pass - and that game  is Trek to Yomi. A 2D side scroller type  game that is visually stunning and takes you into the world of the main character Hiroki.  Set in the Edo Period -  it literally feels like you are playing a movie at times - but that play thing is somewhat clunky if we're being honest.  That's right  - it's not perfect. How different did Shaun and Chris rate this? Episode 354 - Lego Game time!!! The Skywalker Sage to be exact! John and Shaun dive into THE saga. Skywalker. It had been a while insert singing since John or Shaun had been here to this familiar place of Lego-ness. We did NOT have a bad feeling about this. While not being the best game ever - it is safe to say this is THE best Lego Star Wars game of all time. If you are a fan of Star Wars - you need this game. Episode 353 - It's Moss 2 week - which means Shaun's excited! Chris and Jon - wellll...#jokes.  Shaun contemplates whether this will be the final PSVR game he reviews (there will be Meta Quest and PSVR 2 games), so don't worry all you VR fans! The original Moss was Shaun's first VR game, ever.
