The Apostle Paul strongly encourages us to not be ignorant when it comes to spiritual gifts and the ways of the Spirit in our lives. Today, Lance answers 3 questions to help us make room for mystery without losing the power and meaning of prophecy in our lives.

In Luke 15, we find Jesus telling a story about a Father who runs to his son, who was lost and hurting. In this truth revelaing story, Jesus shows us the power of acceptance and then change, the power of sonship instead of an orphan mindset.

Religious people mutter. Jesus welcomes. While religious people were muttering about Jesus hanging out with tax collectors and "sinners" Jesus tells a story illustrating the joy and power of heaven in pursuing the lost sons and daughters of God.

God has given us freedom and love, which means we have choices. The choice was made clear in John 5 when Jesus healed an invalid man. He instructed him to rise up, pick up his mat and walk. The man had a choice to step into his moment. As Jesus healed this man he confronted the Political and Religious system of his day, proving them unable to help the heart of a man.

As Christians who are maturing, attaining the likeness of Christ we can live with a blind eye towards pain and suffering. God is not coming to rescue us yet, but has commissioned us with everything we need to serve the world, bring healing and hope, and build God's Kingdom.
