Steve is turning the corner on Andor…or is Andor getting better in the final episodes? He-Man is bascially throwing imagination spaghetti at the wall and seeing what sticks. (Spoier alert – with He-Man it all stuck.) A look back at Fantastic Four number 1, a cereal derail, and other silly talk…oh…is there a new theme for Geek Out Loud? We shall see.

Steve goes live armed with a new Animapocalypse theme. After not being able to wait to play it, Steve does a little animapocalypse commentary. A little Andor talk happens. From there it’s Thunderbolts* non-spoilery talk. Then, Steve recounts the events surrounding the original Thunderbolts in Marvel Comics. The usual silliness ensues and before it all ends – Steve opens a Star War.

Steve talks the Fantastic Four First Steps trailer, but not before recapping the bigger pieces of news to come out of Star Wars Celebration Japan. There is a Star War opened on the show, but this was done in such a way that the listening audience probably won’t get it…Steve will do a better job describing things like this in the future. There’s a lot of geeking out and a lot of everyone’s favorite franchise – Star Wars – in this one…It’s almost like Not at Celebration coverage! It’s as always your safe place to geek out…This is the Geek Out Loud Podcast. Also, it should be mentioned I’m trying to make somewhat clickbaity thumbnails.

Geek Out Loud went LIVE at not only Mixlr, but also YouTube and Rumble! ALL AT THE SAME TIME. On this episode Steve discusses several things to catch up with all we’ve missed. Cobra Kai leads to the chat derailing Steve causing him to lay out the entire plot of Karate Kid III (SPOILER ALERT FOR KARATE KID III AND COBRA KAI). From there Steve talks Captain America: Brave New World, a little Star Wars live in concert, a little Superman, a little Wrestling, and Easter Sunday. The Skeleton Crew talk has wonky audio because it was recorded in a vehicle going down the highway. Spoilers abound and fun abounds on your safe place to geek out!

Steve’s podcasting partner for life Derek from the House of El podcast stops by along with new friend Luke the Geek of Steel from the Geek of Steel podcast. The trio discuss the new Superman trailer, Christmas traditions in the states and abroad, Buc-ee’s, and there are some unfortunate jokes made at the expense of an american icon. (Too many to edit) Basically, we think all of the potentially offensive language has been cut, but we cannot say the same for the offensive jokes. They also talk all kinds of other fun stuff…Godzilla even gets a quick mention. It’s The GOLidays as Steve is visited by friends old and new on your safe place to Geek Out!

Joseph Mulinaro (Joey Marinara) stops by to talk all things that come up. Steve and Joe discuss football, Star Wars, toys of old, kids today (read that like an old man complaining… “kids today…ugh”) and whether or not we should expect a younger generation to develop the same fondness for things that people from the Star Wars generation developed. It’s a wide range of discussions and some good times…AND STEVE DIDN’T GET TO THE ANIMAL STORIES THAT JOE SENT. In fact, it’s never mentioned…well…there’s always the next episode. Your safe place to geek out is on the air.

Dave Jones sits in on this episode of Geek Out Loud as Steve tries out a new bit that makes Dave laugh…but not necessarily anyone else. The guys talk Chattanooga Comicon as well as other geeky type topics. Then Steve goes full Big Honkin Show with some serious Animapocalypse news out of South Carolina. Steve decides to have a little fun. Classic Zoo Crewers show up in the chat. And a new game is born…will the GI Joe opening monologue fit in the instrumental break of pop or rock songs? Derek then stops by to talk about the big things that have stuck with us since childhood as well as just chew the fat about the first ever Smallville convention. From there chaos strikes as Steve’s computer crashes…and let’s be honest – that kind of thing always takes the wind right out of Steve’s sails. So the show ends after that pretty quickly. It’s a fun time on your safe place to geek out!

The March Madness brackets continue into July…now August. Steve goes on a rant about respecting fandom. The Goliverse bids farewell to one of its own. Steve looks for cartoon intro covers. Because the chat got him to. It’s a bittersweet bundle of mediocrity. It’s your safe place to geek out.

Steve opens the show waiting to join another show, only to discover that other show isn’t happening. It is Steve’s fault…he’s neither a good listener nor a good reader. He may need to walk the reading rainbow. From that confession we enter back into the March(ish) Madness(ish) Bracket(ish). Titanic v. Halloween, Braveheart v. Inception, The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly v. Forrest Gump, and The Godfather tries to make Rocky an offer he can’t refuse. Spoiler Alert…Steve refused. Have fun with episode of GEEK OUT LOUD!

We’ll celebrate episode 300 later. For now we continue the quest to find the greatest movie score to date. On this episode to help us do that is David Fischer. David has been very active in the chat in these discussions, so with his knowledge of movie it made sense to call him up and bring him in. He did not disappoint. Together with the mixlr chat, he and Steve finish out round one of the comedy/other division. After that Steve talks a little Ghostbusters and offends Italians everywhere while doing a Big Honkin Show style story about a an escaped lion. So much more to happen with the brackets, and it will be happening soon! For now, enjoy this episode of your safe place to geek out.
