TL;DR – Our new website is https://gilmore-ball-z.pinecast.co/. Due to a backend issue, WordPress is no longer viable for us, so we’re moving to PineCast! We discovered that all the major podcast services had suddenly lost a good half of the first season of our show. Upon digging deeper, we discovered that WordPress limits its RSS feed capability to only 150 episodes, and since we’ve crossed that number, every new episode we release will drop an episode off the feed. Obviously we don’t want this, because we want new fans to be able to start from the beginning and old fans to be able to go back and listen to it from the start if they want. Fixing this within WordPress would require a business plan, which costs $25 a month. That’s a lot for a podcast we don’t make any money on. So we’ve decided to migrate to Pinecast, a service that will also add a lot of functionality that makes the process easier on our end and is only $10 a month. We’re happy to pay that hosting fee, but if you want to help us out with hosting costs, we aren’t going to say no. Pinecast also includes a “Tip Jar” function over at https://tips.pinecast.com/jar/gilmore-ball-z where you can kick us a few bucks if you want to help. Normally we’d talk about things like the first appearance of Gotenks, or Zack and Mrs. Kim writing a “hit” song together so he could marry Lane. Those are both bonkers. Unfortunately the episode pulled a weird left turn by having Goku offer every woman he knows up to get groped by a stranger, and Gilmore Girls dipped its toe in bad relationship dynamics it wasn’t equipped to handle. So we talk about that a lot, while hoping the shows get back into their comfort zones next week.
