Thanks to Netflix and the way straight-to-streaming movies are advertised these days, APOSTLE is one of those movies you've likely heard of, but never watched. It's a shame, because this movie has some gorgeous cinematography, interesting acting, and most of all, one of the weirdest twists ever seen in a cult movie. If you haven't heard of Mia Goth by now, then this trilogy is where you should start if you are a fan of Horror. First X, now Pearl, and soon MaXXXine; Ti west is sure to take you on a ride you didn't know you wanted (let alone knew existed). Pearl twists the Golden Age of Hollywood in to a classic horror tale, and in Ti West fashion, the aesthetic is *chef's kiss*. Damn, it's been a HOT MINUTE since we've uploaded to our classic podcast series, in which we do a full review of a horror movie. There have been some changes behind the scenes; we're trying to switch up our content to involve more than just podcasts, and in addition, I'm trying to make our thumbnails a little bit more descriptive than just our logo. If you have suggestions for us we would love to hear from you! This movie had a very different effect on both of us, the metaphors in one sense felt very obvious, but in another it's not necessarily your average narrative.
