The Gate of Betrayal -- & Why We All Go Through It

Episode in Head to Heart
Moses was betrayed by the very people he was called back to liberate. David was betrayed by the very king he had fought for. Joseph was betrayed by the very brothers he was called to save. And Jesus was betrayed right before the cross. What if we've looked at betrayal incorrectly? What if we've seen it as something to avoid instead of seeing it as an initiation into our destiny? Maybe God uses betrayal to prepare us, expose our hearts, and squeeze every ounce of bitterness and offense into the light where it has to heal? Betrayal is a gate Jesus had to walk through -- that we all have to walk through. Let's find out it's purposes where we use it to become the version of ourselves God always intended. In this episode we dive into the biblical ways our prayers might get blocked from being answered, how we can remove the blockages, and pray prayers that bring justice to earth in the face of deep betrayal and abuse.

Why Do People Walk Away From Jesus? (& How Do I Make Sure I Don't!)

Episode in Head to Heart
When I walked away from Jesus, there were very preventable things Jesus outlined that I wasn't practicing to preserve the connection he paid for with his blood I wasn't reading His word and meditating on the scriptures to renew my mind with the mind of Christ. I wasn't praying daily out of devotion to preserve and deepen my connection. I wasn't looking at Jesus's model of deliverance and being delievered from demonic oppression in my life. I felt guilty when I couldn't get out of sin cycles -- that God was disappointed in me because I was disappointed in myself. But what if someone had discipled me early on, showing me what it meant to walk with Jesus at an intimate level? What if I realized that my relationship with Jesus was a relational process of transformation and not a perfection I needed to obtain? In this week's podcast, we go into the things I wish I had known when all hell broke loose after I got saved. And that nothing was WRONG. Instagram: @christablacksingh

Why Do I Need Jesus? And How Do I Share Him With Others?

Episode in Head to Heart
I asked my kids at the dinner table the other night, "Kids, why did Jesus save us? What did we need saving from? And how do you get saved? Most people have heard of Jesus, but have they heard the good news of the gospel? WHY we need to to be saved -- what did we get saved from? If the most important decision we make on planet earth is what we truly believe about who God is, the afterlife, and what is ABSOLUTE truth -- then the gospel has to be considered and presented in a way that people can accept it. In this week's episode, we talk about our sin nature, why it needed saving, how it was saved, and what we can do to not only expeirence the salvation of Jesus, but to share it with others! Divine Authorization: Learning to Pray What Heaven Has Already Decided

Episode in Head to Heart
What is biblical prayer? Is it just asking God for what you want like a genie in a bottle? Is it staying on the defense to make sure you're safe and protected? Or prayer COMMUNION with God? Is it the cosmic setup where God uses US to be in relationship with Him and usher in His will to earth? In this podcast we discuss the difference between biblical prayer and New Age manifestation, how to hear from heaven and find out the perfect will of God, and then to declare and bring it to earth. God wants our relational participation bringing heaven to earth, giving us divine authority to make this 3D world bend to the Kingdom. Finding the Goodness of God When Things Seem Bad

Episode in Head to Heart
Two years ago when the money was out and the marriage I had fought endlessly for was over, nothing seemed good about it. But 2.5 years later, remarried, restored, thriving and back in my destiny, hindset allows me to see the goodness of God inside all of it. When the goodness of God is in question, we keep our victim mindset of the situation we're in, instead of seeing how God might be weaving goodness out of something we have judged as 'bad.' The goodness of God can never come on trial in the life of a beliver. In this 'Just Jesus' hangout, we solidify our theology that God is good -- even when things seem bad. Forged by Friction: How God Uses Satan to Prepare Us for Our Destiny

Episode in Head to Heart
For many years I believed if trials were happening in my life I was doing something wrong. In the New Age, I thought I needed to do more shadow work and clear my energy. In propserity gospel Christianity, I believed I needed to fight harder by naming and claiming more promises. Both are true to an extent -- but both leave out the necessary importance of how God used the enemy to prepare Jesus for his destiny. In this Just Jesus Wednesday meeting, we discuss the perspective shift of friction and how it's GOOD if we let it be. What if the trials you're facing are being used to refine you, heal you, teach you to step into your authority to fulfill your destiny? Can Christians have Demons? With Melissa Gabler

Episode in Head to Heart
Growing up in Christianity I was always told Christians can't have demons. But my life and experience was very different to that reality, being tormented for years, struggling with addictions depressions, hearing voices that felt dark and oppressive. No, Christians can't be taken over in possession, but can they have demonic attachments? What does this look like?  How can we get free? And what does scripture say about this? In this episode, I explore this misunderstood concept with my dear friend Melissa Gabler (who just happened to cast a Kundalini Spirit out of me when I met her!)  Instagram: @melissa_gabler
