The Early Days
Episode in
Heart Of A Festival
Welcome to the Heart Of A Festival podcast
Episode 1.1
It was a beautiful summer afternoon for a drive. So we took a road trip to visit Max MacDonald at his new gig; Beanie’s Bistro in Sherbrooke, Nova Scotia. Max and Joella founded the Celtic Colours International Festival in 1997. Max has an interesting perspective. He’s been away from it for a while now, and Joella finds herself preparing for a life outside of Celtic Colours. This was the first real conversation about those early years that they’ve had since Max started this new chapter in his life. It’s an incredible conversation and makes for the perfect start to this new podcast. Enjoy!
Theme music:
“Meals By Maurice” by The East Pointers from Celtic Colours Live Vol 3.
Episode music:
“Sabrina” – Paddy Keenan and John Walsh
“The Last March/High Bass Set” – Shelly Campbell and Allan Dewar
Both of these tracks are also available on Celtic Colours Live Vol 3
