We're back, covering the final installment of the first season of His Dark Materials on BBC/HBO. After an episode recap, we dive into a little bit of speculation about the future of the series. We continue to wonder whether our favorite book moments will ever see screen time as we pass the halfway point in the first season and continue to move through Lyra's world at breakneck pace. Opinions dujour: Dafne Keen's performance is about as peak-Lyra as we could ever hope for; we thought it would be a lot darker and snowier in the north; and the show makes two of its most suspect adaptation choices in the same episode.
