Luke 16:9-15 Jesus said to his disciples: “I tell you, make friends for yourselves with dishonest wealth, so that when it fails, you will be welcomed into eternal dwellings. The person who is trustworthy in very small matters is also trustworthy in great ones; and the person who is dishonest in very small matters is also dishonest in great ones. If, therefore, you are not trustworthy with dishonest wealth, who will trust you with true wealth? If you are not trustworthy with what belongs to another, who will give you what is yours? No servant can serve two masters. He will either hate one and love the other, or be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and mammon.” The Pharisees, who loved money, heard all these things and sneered at him. And he said to them, “You justify yourselves in the sight of others, but God knows your hearts; for what is of human esteem is an abomination in the sight of God.” ▶️ You can follow the daily live stream Eucharistic Celebration at 6:30 p.m. (Holy Land Time) here: https://www.youtube.com/@magdalaenglish Follow us: 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project. But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did! Or those eighteen people who were killed when the tower at Siloam fell on them— do you think they were more guilty than everyone else who lived in Jerusalem? By no means! But I tell you, if you do not repent, you will all perish as they did!” And he told them this parable: “There once was a person who had a fig tree planted in his orchard, and when he came in search of fruit on it but found none, he said to the gardener, ‘For three years now I have come in search of fruit on this fig tree but have found none. So cut it down. Why should it exhaust the soil?’ He said to him in reply, ‘Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not you can cut it down.’” ▶️ You can follow the daily live stream Eucharistic Celebration at 6:30 p.m. (Holy Land Time) here: https://www.youtube.com/@magdalaenglish Follow us: 📷 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/experiencemagdala/ 👍 Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/magdalenglish 📢 Subscribe to our Newsletter 👉 https://bit.ly/magdala-newsletter 💟 Help us to keep developing the Magdala Project.
