Episode 31: Just Go For It! ~ Horrors of AI ~ Why Won’t She Just Leave Him?

What the full episode here: Today's Topics:  He's Such a Jerk!  Why Doesn't She Just Leave Him? Stop Using AI In Your Content. Just GO FOR IT already! Sponsor: Your Social Media Hour, is a full-service blogging and social media course followed by daily support to help you build your digital footprint daily. Visit Your Social Media Hour today for more details!   #1:  JUST GO FOR IT ALREADY!!   1:14 Last year The Gardella Group was certified by WBENC.  And honestly, it was a little hard to navigate.  WBENC is like an octopus with a national presence as well as locat chapters.  There is alot to learn and even more to take advantage of.  I needed to sign up and attend events but with a capability statement that I did not have nor did I know what that looked like.  Everyone kept talking about the National Conference happening in March and I was a little lost on where to start.  The team in my local office offered me a guide (they call them enjoys) and I received invaluable guidance from someone I considered to be a mentor, Barb Bosha:  Sign up and attend everything.  Listen to the episode to all of the things I have signed up for, been accepted to, and WON! #2:  Stop Using AI for Your Marketing 5:50 Stop using AI as a crutch for your business. AI is a computer, not a human, and it is not authenticClick To Tweet. We're going down a rabbit hole by relying too heavily on it. Marketers tend to ruin everything, and now they are using AI against us. Have you ever been in a chatbot that actually helped you solve your problem? Probably not. AI, like ChatGPT, is only trained on data up to a certain point and lacks the capability for original thought and emotion. #3:  Why Doesn't She Just Leave Him?  11:21 As many of you know, I'm a survivor of vicious domestic violence. I wrote a book called "Whispers of Abuse" to share information and help others understand that abusers and victims are everywhere. You may know someone who is dating a jerk, and you might wonder, "Why doesn't she just leave him?"  Last week, I had the opportunity to participate in a story slam in Philadelphia, where I shared my escape from abuse. When I was escaping, I didn't know it was domestic violence. I had no place to go, no money, and I was embarrassed. The barriers to leaving are significant: lack of money, nowhere to live, fear, cultural issues, shame, and a trauma bond with the abuser. Victims often believe they can make the situation better because they are addicted to the abuser due to the trauma bond. Until next time! ---

Episode 24: Levers, Mean Girls, Obnoxious Questions

Today's Sponsor:  Your Social Media Hour. :    In this podcast episode, Dr. Jennifer Gardella discusses three main topics: 12 Levers: She talks about the concept of the "12 levers," which are habits or activities that can have a significant positive impact on one's personal life or business. These levers are like daily habits that can be pulled to make a difference, such as meditation and blogging for business. She emphasizes the importance of finding the right habits that can create the greatest impact. Questions: Dr. Gardella shares an experience where someone asked her a question that made her feel like she was being judged or considered incapable. She advises listeners not to take such questions to heart and to focus on staying strong and centered in themselves, not letting others' judgments affect them. Mean Girls: The third topic is about facing exclusion and judgment from a group of "Mean Girls." Dr. Gardella shares her personal experience and how she dealt with it. She emphasizes the importance of staying aware, centered, and protective of oneself in such situations, choosing to protect one's well-being and not engaging in negativity. Overall, the podcast aims to provide personal insights and strategies for dealing with challenges in life and work, while also encouraging listeners to focus on personal growth and resilience.

Episode 18:

Welcome to Episode 18!! 1.  When an idol disappoints you Have you ever followed an idol into a program only to realize that their success and fame has led them to follow their rules rather than help you out?  I recently enrolled in a lower end course with a woman who I had long admired.  I was disappointed with the content right from the start - repurposed videos from a conference she ran  - I'm usually ok with this but now when the conference references topics that are not discussed in the course. I am a firm believer that when you want something in life you have to really go for it.  Having an escape route can block some of the universal energy you need.  Instead of a chicken exit put time into planning and moving your enterprise forward.  Learn here how I recently saw the possibility of a chicken exit and how it influenced me. 3.  What is PSI Seminars and what I learned. If you look up PSI Seminars on the internet you might find some information claiming it is a cult - my experience was anything but that!  Listen up as I talk about the major concepts that I was introduced to for the first time in my life!  I attended the courses over 10 years ago yet still use my notebook constantly! Episode 17: Gratitude; Easy Blogging; Drama Be Gone!

Today's episode: 1.  Gratitude 2.  Easy ways to blog 3.  Shutting off the drama beacon  If you feel a little lack, maybe you need to show a little gratitude?  Money - love - friendships - whatever it is that is not abundant, perhaps you can start to give thanks for what you do have in that area. Hear how Jen gives thanks every single day...in her own way.  How she learned to say thank you to ex's for all they brought to her life.  And how those feelings of gratitude can turn any situation into one of Arigato. 2.  Blogging the easy way - is there actually an easy way to blog.  Jen explains how an app can get you blogging on any topic if you take few minutes to get organized.  She has been using a voice recorder to blog for some time and with the help of www.otter.ai is learning to perfect the process.  You outline a bit, record, have it transcribed, edit right in your blog and post!  The process takes practice but is worth every single second of it! and uncovered Topic #3:  When your drama beacon is on.  Jen explains how someone recently thought it was ok to intrude into her texts and unload a bit of drama in her direction.  Why people meddle remains a complete mystery!  Jen shares that years ago she worked with Michele Granberg and uncovered that she was turning on her drama beacon - attracting drama into her life.  Learn how this could happen and more importantly what Jen does to turn it off. When others feel that they can intrude in your life...well it just might be a drama beacon problem.

Episode 16: Values, Connecting and Delegating

Welcome to Episode 16 of the podcast Hot Mess to Great Success. Today's topics: Values of your company. Connecting offline. How to delegate The Values of Your Company: Are you not attracting the right types of clients and employees?  Get a Grip,  Scaling Up, Unf*ck Your Business - all the experts are talking about the values of your company and then infuse them into everything:  day-to-day operations, marketing,   Tomas Keen who is the author of Unf*ck Your Business does a brilliant job of how to do this with authentic examples. Mentioned:  Sue Guiher:  https://www.thrivingentrepreneur.com/ - her program helped me clarify my three core values of integrity, uniqueness and courage. The Values of The Gardella Group:  Integrity, Humbly competent, Reliable, Balanced, Authentic, and Unique. Connecting Your number of connections and likes are just vanity metrics - they don't make you 'happy' or give you peace...dollars or any sort of actual friendship.  How about send thank you notes, schedule calls, thank you gifts when someone supports your business in a big way. Delegating Big concept from EOS - just start with a list somewhere - in your work journal maybe.  I keep a list in the front of the binder I use to organize the work of my day.  In his book, Tom Keenan makes the argument that tasks have assigned values to them and a CEO should be working on higher dollar tasks.

Episode #15: Zero to do with you – Google Changes – EOS

Today's Topics: 1.  It has nothing to do with you 2.  Keeping up with Google's Changes 3.  How EOS is changing my business  IT HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU! As I have and will ALWAYS mention...the way others act has almost nothing to do with you.  It is as shocking as it is freeing to hear - and then finally accept - this nugget of wisdom.  I worked closely with The Possibility Coaches in Buckingham, PA who, through their brilliance finally got me to accept this fact.  When you feel left out, rejected, inappropriately treated, disrespected,...it has zippo do with you.  Someone may fail to obey the rules of your home, be kind, say thank you...and ya know what...it has zippo do with you.  They are operating with their own set of limiting beliefs. In your professional life - if you are working as hard as you can - and a client still calls to scream - it probably has nothing to do with you - for all you know their spouse just served them with divorce papers. You can not fill in the cracks of someone else's life - they have been programmed by forces that are greater than you in their life that include the idea that you may be insignificant.  Operate with integrity (remember there are no levels...there is just integrity) and unconditional love.  Make your boundaries known and clear to all.  This will transform your life. 2.  How do you Keep up with Google Changes.  If you are running a business, you know that SEO is important, but you've probably figured out that it's really hard to keep up on the changes and maintain your Google ranking your SEO.  How do you keep up with all of the changes?  Follow the experts!  If you have questions or want to know whom to follow...book a call with me and we can get you on the right path. 3.  Update on how my own hot mess is coming along.  I AM MAKING PROGRESS!  I'm implementing EOS (thanks again to Amy Porterfield).  New clients are rolling in - not as a direct result of any one thing I am doing, but instead I believe it is because I am showing the universe I'm getting it together.  I'm in a position to be hiring new staff and have, for the first time, put out a job description with the values I operate with so it is clear from the start the type of people I will hire.  Big projects are moving along...in big ways.  Getting stuff done! My marketing is shaping up, I'm starting to look more coordinated, delegating so I do not get stuck,

Episode 14: Unconditional Love, No Short Cuts, Fear of Success

Welcome to Episode 14  Act unconditionally  No Shortcuts  Fear of Failure or Fear of Success    Act unconditionally:  As I have been feeling unappreciated by many people in my life, I have FINALLY learned to look at my actions as unconditional.  If you do things with unconditional love, then you just can not be disappointed when others do not appreciate or even acknowledge your efforts - brush it off.  You didn't do it for the parade, you did it because you wanted to.  And, the sister act of this - their inability to acknowledge or appreciated is a deep problem within them has...ready...NOTHING TO DO WITH YOU!   Infusing love, especially unconditional love into everything that you do will completely spin your world. Possibility Coaches in Doylestown PA 2.  No Shortcuts:  There is no way you can write all of your social media content for the year in one hour - you can not write 10 blogs in 30 minutes.  There are plenty of "systems" that promise crazy outcomes.  But they don't work. Just in my example of creating social media content - for me, being very organized - takes hours.  By the way, if you ever need to talk with me about your SEO, Digital Marketing, Social Media or Blogging - please book a gratis call with me so we can set you on a path towards systems and clarity.   3.  Fear of Failure or Fear of Success:  Are you scared of success?  To many this may sound INSANE!  How being successful can be scary...so scary it might just keep you small? Click To Tweet Your systems, family, friends....could it be too much?  Do the people in your life need you staying small? Stacy Raske can be found here.   Thanks so much for joining me - I not only appreciate your time I am truly honored you would choose to spend your time with me. Jen

Episode 12: Reviews and Your Integrity

A special thank you to Jared over at Podcast Movement who ran a challenge that got me thinking and moving.  If you are a podcaster or just wondering if what the steps are I would highly recommend contacting him about the challenge. Our three topics today are: When life gets in the way of your goals Reviews for your business Operating with Integrity Topic #1:  When life gets in the way. It is time to "Jen-Proof my Life"   I take full responsibility for where I sit in life - and for the state of my business, my finances, my household - I put myself there. No victim!  When the universe has thrown me curveballs, I have allowed them to impact everything - including my goals. Happens during good things (surprise visit from my daughter) and some not-so-great things (when my ex-husband passed away).  w Take the time to get ahead, automate and delegate. Getting ahead on client work Autopay bills Delegate when tech issues come up!  Topic #2:  Reviews for your business Businesses can take reviews in many places:  Yelp, Google, Facebook, LinkedIn and even on a website. And if you work for a company you should be collecting recommendations on your LInkedIn page. When a bad review hits, you freak out. My solution:  Jump back in your Hot Tub Time Machine, and put the systems in place that I regularly recommend, so that you are gathering enough good reviews this way when a bad one pops up. What I recommend is that you work hard so that no one review kills your scores. Topic #3:  Operating with integrity "There's no such thing as levels of integrity. You either sit in integrity and live in integrity, or you do not." Click here to find the work of Sue Guiher Blog on being Fake at Disney

Episode 11: CRM and Feeling Disconnected

TOPIC #1:  Find a CRM system for your business.   They can be very expensive and very confusing.   I first signed up for Infusionsoft (now Keap) because all the big sharks used it.  It was way too big and very very confusing. The tech shut me down...sadly for years.   And I finally decided to look for something else - and I looked everywhere.   Convertkit - Freshsales - HubSpot - Zoho  And after all my research I finally decided I was not going to get exactly what I wanted.  I did realize that a few systems were going to need to be put in place.   I wanted payment - schedule - funnels - crm for list building and bigger prospects.   And I finally pulled the trigger on Clickfunnels.   I came about it sideways - went through One Funnel Away - a 30 day program (warning:  Affiliate link)  - which was brilliant.  I then drank the Koolaid and signed up for a full account.  It solves most of my problems and issues.  TOPIC #2:  Setting a goal with a reward When I need a break, I wanted to zone out - really zone out.  And I got addicted - yes addicted to an app game on my phone.   I was lacking discipline.  I would delete the app and then reinstall it to zone out again.   I was wasting a ton of time - the game wasn’t even helping me relax because I knew I could be doing so much else with my time.   I gave myself a goal - delete the app and get the bag - a Vera Bradley bag.   So I bought the bag - and locked it away - and will give it to myself if I can really kick the habit.   TOPIC #3:  Feeling Disconnected What do we do when your job, family, kids, just suck the life out of you.  There is a ton of writing out there about the importance of having some deeper spiritual connection to a higher power  - whatever that would be for you.   I was raised Devout Catholic and have left The Church, (recovering Catholic) - and the spiritual was missing.  So….  Recently went through a program, Faith to Conquer Fear Program with Christy DeMetrakis My breakthroughs were substantial and connection to my higher power was found.
