Bridging the Gap between Spirituality & Your Body (Guest: Holly Toronto)

A bit about the amazing Holly: Holly is a certified Master Level Coach through Health Coach Institute and has 4 years of experience helping highly driven women stop dieting and build resilience to toxic beauty messages. She use an intuitive and spiritual approach that guides her clients towards self trust, confidence and Sovereignty over their entire being; body, mind and soul. From this place, her clients are able to make self guided decisions and finally live the life they desire in the body they live in today. I thought Holly and I could share a really interesting tactic and perspective that she uses to help women heal their body image: through connecting with Spirit. If you're not a very spiritual person, don't worry, you don't have to be! Holly's work is a testament to the simplicity of what it means to feel one with your body and have respect/love for him, her, they or them. I think one of the biggest downsides that come through dieting and diet culture is a disconnect between ourselves and our bodies. We seem them as wrong, bad or mistakes and Holly's purpose in life is to help bring women back to a place of peace with their bodies. Check out this week's podcast episode & as always, find us both down below! Please feel free to leave us a comment, rating or like on social media and I hope to see you back here next week, my love! Skipping Breakfast is NOT Inspirational! (Diet Culture & Fitness Industry)

Hello, my loves! Welcome back to the podcast! Today, I wanted to talk about something that I get a little bit heated about .... ;).... that is the inspirational, motivating, determination associated with losing weight or dieting! It breaks my heart! I remember when I first struggled with food, I began to diet not only to lose some weight and change my body, but I also wanted the IDENTITY I had been show online that came along with weight loss or living in a smaller frame! I saw so many people online talking about how inspired they were by someone going keto or how motivating it was to see people lose weight each week & I wanted to be seen as productive, successful, and admirable too! I think there is a MAJOR problem when it comes to diet culture and the fitness industry that promotes not only their unsustainable and sometimes detrimental weight loss plans, programs or products, but also the false fairytale that losing weight will also make you a better human being! That somehow worth is tied to weight-loss and productive people only eat Keto, for example! I hope this episode helps validate you're only struggle with food and the identity it makes us believe we must have to matter... there is nothing inspirational about skipping breakfast and we need to stop seeing people as worthy of love if they lost a few pounds! Hello, my loves! Welcome back to the podcast! In this episode, I get a little vulnerable about how truly toxic my eating disorder was to me and my life!
