On this episode of I Love the 90s, I'm starting my weekly rewatch of Melrose Place. The iconic 90s sudsy nighttime soap opera starring Queen, Icon, and Legend, Ms. Heather Locklear. Heather Locklear didn't join the show until the end of the first season. More specifically, she didn't join until episode 21, entitled "Picture Imperfect" - That episode is described on Paramount Plus, where the show is streaming in its entirety as: Advertising gets a whole lot sexier when Alison gets an unexpected job promotion, Amanda Woodward comes on board as her new boss, and Jo takes some revealing shots . . . Don't let the short skirts and crispy blonde hair fool you; Amanda Woodward is all business. She doesn't suffer fools and isn't about to put up with any of Alison's Bull$hit. Hosted on Acast. The Net, released in 1995, is a classic technology thriller starring the one and only Ms. Sandra Bullock. See, Sandy has known the World Wide Web was something to be wary of all the way back in the mid-nineties! The one-two punch of this movie, coupled with While You Were Sleeping just a couple of months before, cemented Sandra Bullock as a bonafide movie star. Hosted on Acast. Tales From The Darkside is a horror anthology film that was released on May 4th, 1990. What do you get when you combine the minds of Stephen King, George A. Romero (Night of the Living Dead), and Michael McDowell (Beetlejuice)? Answer: A really good movie that still holds up. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

Barb Wire is a comic book adaptation of a new kind of superhero. One with big boobs, a bad attitude, crispy blonde hair, and a whole lot of eye makeup. What is it about? I have no idea. Trust me, don't try to piece together a thru-line like I did; it'll make your head hurt. Just enjoy it for what it is: MIndless Fun. Enjoy the visuals! Pamela Anderson plays the (titular) lead, Ms. Barb Wire, once known as Barbara Kopetski. Look, I don't want to objectify her; she's had enough of that, but that striptease at the beginning of the movie - wow, wow, wow! And I say that being gay, gay, gay! No other movie has made me question my sexuality like this since I saw Ryan Phillippe take a shower in I Know What You Did Last Summer. (Also, a future episode. Stay tuned! And SUBSCRIBE. Hit that button!) Enjoy the episode, and follow me on social media to let me know what other movies you'd like to hear me do here next. Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.

On this episode of I Love The 90s, Jason Zeffir goes in deep, (pun-intended) on Basic Instinct. Did you know that Sharon Stone wasn't the first choice for this iconic part. In fact, she was the thirteenth choice! Jason also shows a healthy amount of disdain for actor, Michael Douglas. I mean, if you can't drag a rich white straight man whose father was a movie star, who can you drag? Hosted on Acast. See acast.com/privacy for more information.
