Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
In the episode, we are dropped into 1990s Yugoslavia with The Seasoning House (2012). The Bosnian conflict was the most violent and brutal war Europe had seen since WWII, with genocide, full scale massacres, and the creation of ethnic cleansing through r*pe camps. This is one of those camps…..
My guest for this episode is back for more, Kelly McNeely!
Kells is a co-host and enthusiastic mixologist for Black Fawn Distro’s YouTube channel, which also houses her “Streams & Screams” review series. A film inspired by the true events of the 17 year dictatorship of Augusto Pinochet, its' brutal realism gives us an unflinching glimpse into the world of his regime and the intergenerational trauma that follows. Trauma keeps to its word - you will never be the same once witnessing it for the first time.

Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
In this episode, we head to Mexico with “Mexico’s most violent film”, Atroz (2018) by Lex Ortega. Taking social and political commentary to dark and shocking places, Atroz doesn’t pull any punches - it’s provocative and memorable. It challenges everything you thought you knew and more. Taking inspiration from Ruggero Deodato, renowned filmmaker behind Cannibal Holocaust (and is an associate producer), Ortega’s first feature is an endurance test worth taking.
My guest for this episode is Mikey Peralta Jr! Mikey is a Mexican-American creator who focuses on Latin American cinema with a social justice lens. He has a monthly column with Dread Central called Horror en Español. He also releases daily content on Tik Tok and Instagram about the horror genre and Latin culture.

Episode 69: Spinster's Choice - Kōji Shiraishi ~ Occult (2009) & A Record of Sweet Murder (2014)
Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
In this episode of SPINSTERS CHOICE, one of us selects a movie we're passionate about. This time, it's Jessica's turn, and naturally, she is taking us back to Japan. Japanese horror, especially J-Horror, is captivating, and combine it with found footage, and you have a Koji Shiraishi film—the director we have decided to spotlight for this Spinster’s Choice. We'll be focusing on two lesser-known films, Occult (2009) and A Record of Sweet Murder (2014). We'll revisit the essence of Japanese horror and the J-horror movement, discuss Koji Shiraishi’s influence and impact on the genre, and explore why Japan has so many cults.

Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
This month is the season finale! And I have chosen the perfect film and guest to end on. I will be dissecting THE YEARNING OF MARIA D (2018) from the elusive underground filmmaker Marian Dora. The final movie on necrophilia is a powerhouse of the extreme, and I can’t wait to share it with you. We will be tackling animal death on screen, arthouse extreme, and of course, the necrophilia of it all.
My guest for this episode is the co-host of my other show, I SPIT ON YOUR PODCAST, and a long-time friend, Jessica! Jess is a Doom Metal Witch who enjoys subversive cinema, exploring her chaotic taste in music, and being the goth Weird Girl. Kelly's Taboo Terrors: MACABRE (1980) W. DONNA THA DEAD
Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
This month, I'm traversing the world of Italian horror cinema with Lamberto Bava’s MACABRE! Known for releasing some controversial films like Cannibal Holocaust, Cannibal Ferox, and The New York Ripper, the Italian horror market is no stranger to transgressive themes. Though this is a more subtle take on necrophilia than other films covered, it is weird, romantic, and interesting! An underseen gem, Macabre stays true to its name.
My guest for this episode is Donna Tha Dead! Donna is a passionate horror podcaster who dives deep into the eerie, unsettling, and mysterious. As a woman of color in the horror community, she brings fresh perspectives to the genre, exploring everything from horror and cult classics to series with horror undertones. With a love for storytelling and a knack for uncovering the terrifying tales that lurk in the shadows, she creates chilling content that keeps listeners on the edge of their seats. Whether dissecting cultural influences in horror or speaking with fellow enthusiasts, she’s dedicated to amplifying diverse voices in the world of the macabre.

Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
In this episode, we are returning to Original Vs. The Remake with not one by three films! With the release of Robert Eggert’s film Nosferatu (2024), we decided it was time for us to get caught up on this new adaptation of two beloved vampire films of ours: Nosferatu (1922) & Nosferatu (1979). Kelly's Taboo Terrors: Gorotica (1993) W. MARCUS KOCH
Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
This month, I am diving into the wonderful, grimy world of 90s shot-on-video cinema. Starring the cult star Ghetty Chasun and a part of Hugh Gallagher’s Gore trilogy, this is one of my favorite necrophilia films! It portrays two interesting aspects of the fetish: one titillating and one desperate, both entertaining.
My guest for this episode is Marcus Koch! Marcus is a special effects artist specializing in realistic gore FX. His work can be seen in movies like We Are Still Here (2015), Jakob's Wife (2021), and Sweatshop (2009). He even directs his movies on rare occasions, like ROT (1999), 100 Tears (2007), and Bloodshock (2015), which is the second film in the American Guinea Pig series.

Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
This month, I am dissecting two horror films from indie filmmaker Dustin Mills, Her Name Was Torment (2014) and Her Name Was Torment II: Agony (2016). Blending cult conspiracies, angels, serial killing, corpse banging, and solid gore, these films give you a look into the filthy, perverse world of female necrophiliacs. And we like it!
My guest for this episode is Robert Clark! Robert is the host of the Creepy And Geeky podcast. A show which explores horror and other genre films through casual conversations with mostly women, people of color, and the LGBTQ+ community. Episode in
I Spit on Your Podcast
Welcome to Kelly’s Taboo Terrors, a monthly podcast that explores the transgressive side of cinema. These movies, and discussions, are not for the faint of heart so listener's discretion is strongly advised.
This month, I am tackling a very explicit and interesting film by famed Italian extreme horror filmmaker, Domiziano Cristopharo - eROTik (2018). Portraying the loneliness of queerness and mental illness, eROTik is a desolate and strange look into the world of the male necrophile. Viewer's discretion is strongly advised for those wary of male ejaculation!
My guest for this episode is John Patterson! John writes about extreme horror and anything else that catches his interest. He is currently working on a book on queer theory and 50s/60s horror films.

A film I love to hate, and hate to love, Deadgirl (2008) remains one of the most disgusting pieces of cinema I have ever experienced. And that’s saying a lot! Bringing to the screen violent misogyny through zombie rape, assault, and brutality, Deadgirl is tremendously offensive and controversial - but also one that gets people talking.
