Amidst the COVID-19 Pandemic, it is undoubtable that one of the hardest hit industries have been Tourism. Once a bustling sector attracting millions of tourists every year, the effect of closed borders and restricted travel has been palpable, with large numbers laid off from work, and many businesses forced to adapt in order to survive through this period. In this episode of the podcast, we are privileged to be able to speak to Poh Chi Chuan, Executive Director of Digital Transformation, Technology Transformation Group at Singapore Tourism Board, as he provides more insights on the measures that his organisation has taken.  In his capacity, Poh Chi Chuan works with his Division to strengthen enterprise digital and data science capabilities for both STB and key industry partners. This includes gathering and analysing data and trends to get new insights on tourism performance, sharing market intelligence and consumer insights, as well as engaging stakeholders on digital collaborations. He also pushes the boundaries of technology by driving innovation initiatives to co-create quality solutions for the industry with the private sector, which helps future proof the tourism industry to tackle the challenges ahead.
