After a few weeks off, the boys catch up on all the end-of-season news from the English leagues, as well as the European highlights. There’s an assessment of Arsenal’s fortunes and commiserations for Bolton, Blackburn and Wolves as they wave goodbye to the Premiership for now. Coming bang up-to-date, the boys muse over Scotland’s resounding beating at the hands of the on-form USA and Roy Hodgson’s first game at the helm of the England team. Then it’s goodbye for now. The season’s over, but the football rolls on. The boys will be back during Euro 2012 to report on events in Poland and Ukraine, and keep us up-to-date with the Olympic football from London. Trouble at the top in this week’s lead story, as Barcelona’s run of losses extends to their manager Pep Guardiola. There were upsets at Friday Football too, as Joseph out-scored his brother by five goals alongside a Strathblane-based dream team that won every match. Results from the Champions’ League are followed by a mid-Saturday roundup of the latest scores from the Premiership, and the semi-finals of the Europa League. The boys give a special sporting shout-out to one podcast listener on his last game of the season and ponder both poor Wolves, facing up to relegation despite an amazing fight back against Swansea and Wigan, discovering their strength just in time to save themselves from the big drop.
