Just Desserts

This episode features a special Thanksgiving Pie from Daily Provisions, the very first place we went to for the podcast. We got their chocolate bourbon pecan pie. It's a classic bourbon pecan pie, topped with a uniquely rich dark chocolate ganache, and sprinkled with flaky Maldon salt.

We went to Petee's Pie Company in the Lower East Side to sample slices of pie and talk to the pastry chef Nikita Park who blessed us with all that butter.

We visited a classic ice cream shop and talked to one of its (now former) owners about all things frozen while eating sundaes.

We went to Mah Ze Dahr in the West Village to try a full range of desserts from cakes to donuts to brownies. We talked with a few customers about what brought them there and why we need to go back for round two.

In this episode we went to Whistle Stop Bake Shop in Oceanside, NY. They're known for their #1 rated cheesecake on Long Island, and we ordered a lot more than 1 piece of cheesecake.
