Anthony Bradley LIVE with Andy Lamberton at Regular Joes

Manoah was Samson’s dad. And like most good dads, he goes unnoticed in the story. He was a Regular Joe. He hears he will have a son of immense potential — yet his first response is a humble, straightforward prayer:“Lord, teach me how to raise the boy.”Now that’s a prayer we can all pray. Samson’s story zig-zags.The whole book of Judges summarises itself in its final verse:“In those days, there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in his own eyes.”And the irony in Samson’s story is that he only does what is right once his eyes are removed. Our children are growing up in strange times. We can see their potential — and we can see the cascade of distractions coming their way — and we wonder how best to respond. Join Andy Lamberton LIVE at Regular Joes conference as he asks Anthony Bradley: • What kind of world are our sons (in particular) growing up in? • How should we pray for them? • And how do we help them harness their strength? We’re launching our Legacy Award 2026: For fathers ready to invest … for 11-14s ready for adventure. Request a prospectus to find out more. Even if you just want a nosey! www.legacyfathers.org/award Guest: Anthony Bradley is a Research Fellow at the Acton Institute and Research Professor at Kuyper College. He wants to address the boy-to-man crisis by rebuilding fatherhood, reforming fraternities, and restoring justice through personalism. Host: Andy Lamberton is the director of Legacy. Speaker, writer and author of Letters for Exiles: Faithful Living in a Faithless World. Links:  Legacy Award Anthony Bradley Rumble

Two amazing opportunities:We’re running two weekends in the Spring with SUNI - Father & Son, Father & Daughter. More here Our friends at Dadcamp are running one in the summer. More here Guests:  Brian Smith and Ed Uszynski Brian and Ed are co-authors of Away Game, helping Christian parents rethink how sport can either shape their child’s formation. Philip Mitchell Philip leads Sports Chaplaincy Ireland, bringing a Christian presence into sports clubs across the country. LIVE with David Smyth and Dawn McAvoy at Elmwood Presbyterian

When God the Son became flesh, it started not in Bethlehem but nine months before, in pregnancy. Joseph, as fiancé to Mary and an earthly father figure to Jesus, is a fascinating example. Providing, protecting, leading and loving his family through difficulties, cultural shame and death threats.  Our friends at Evangelical Alliance join us on the Legacy Podcast LIVE at Elmwood Presbyterian. From our changing society to the desire for wholesomeness amongst young people, from a fetus to the saviour of the world. We cover a lot of ground in this conversation on faith and fatherhood.  Evangelical Alliance and Both Lives have a new resource called God Unborn, which looks at the impact of Joseph on the story of the incarnation. Download a seven-day devotional - God Unborn - here. Also available for churches is a video resource you can play on a Sunday morning in March - 9 months before Christmas at the same link.   The Evangelical Alliance is a membership organisation of which we are a member - and you can be too! As a church, an organisation or an individual. Find out more on their website.   Both Lives is an initiative of Evangelical Alliance: a pro-women and pro-life movement – imagining a people and place that values the life and health of women and unborn children, and pursues the wellbeing of both. Find out more here. And Legacy… that’s us! A ministry for fathers. We provide programmes for churches to help faith and fatherhood thrive. Find out more on our website. www.legacyfathers.org Today’s guests DAVID SMYTH David is head of the Evangelical Alliance in Northern Ireland and coordinates their Public Leader course. A former solicitor who represents the Evangelical Alliance on a range of government, civic, and charitable forums. He serves in the space where faith, law, politics, and culture intersect.
