Legacy's Allure

Dark Ritual defined a class of cards that make more mana than they cost to play. In honor to the black "boon" we now refer to these types of cards as "rituals." Decks can do powerful things with bursts of fast mana, and Legacy showcases the breadth of possiblities when mana is available way ahead of schedule. For years, decks seeking to utilize the massive mana generating capabilities of the "post" lands have existed in Legacy. Battle for Zendikar gave the strategy an early game plan, and since then multiple iterations of the deck have brought us to a point where big mana is strong enough to hold its own.
