Nikki & Paula debrief briefly after the premiere of their original collaboration with UK’s Slamsister Designs - the first lesbian/queer game show - The Girl on Girl Game Show™. They decided that Slamsisters - Emma & Sandy will be their next podcast guests via Skype. Nikki & Paula are hoping to have some juicy post-Oscar talk & talk about some of their favorit UK shows featuring strong, authentic women like Prime Suspect, Absolutely Fabulous, Happy Valley and The Crown.

When the Scavos signed up to talk with Kat - a local “cuddlist”, they had no idea what to expect. Kat, who has been on a “sacred sexual journey” for a number of years. refers to her cuddlist practice as “this work of cuddling”. Paula beings by admitting that she believes it would be “easier” for her to be spanked, than to be spanked. Kat suggests cuddling might be more intimate, than spanking. Kat shares that cuddling teaches us how to feel into our body and know what we want and what we don’t want. In a nod to her guru, Betty Martin, Kat challenges us to acknowledge the painful, yet enlightening truth that we have become accustomed to tolerating what we think other people want.  When asked what public figure Kat believes needs a good cuddle - without hesitation - she exclaims - “Trump!”. The Scavos were inspired to create this episode by the sudden passing on June 28, 2016, of head coach of the University of Tennessee Lady Vols basketball team from 1974 to 2012 - Patricia Sue “Pat” Summitt. The Scavos’ tribute to the victims of the horrific June 12, 2016 shooting at the Pulse Nightclub in #Orlando. An open, messy, round table discussion about the inestimable, and enduring value of “safe spaces” for the LGBTQI community with regard to history: Berlin in the 1930’s, Stonewall and #Orlando. We invited our favorite ladies- Jess Z and Smarty to join us for an afternoon in our studio, our safe space, to talk openly about our thoughts and feelings post-Orlando. Of course–more could be said, will be said…but it was already over an hour. Let’s turn up the love, stand in our truth and celebrate LGBTQI Pride.

The Scavos are in a reflective mood - thinking about what they have learned, being under pressure during “the holidays”, about focusing on being understanding vs being understood. They talk about the Paris Attacks and how they believe love is the only remedy - they are ready to get back to “Make Love, Not War”. This isn’t a cliche, rather a directive we must embrace. They are hopeful that the Paris Attacks “Mastermind” left home without a change of clothes, and that there is a “Cannibis problem” amid IS adherents. Paula says that Ronda Rousey got “Bitch-kicked” and Nikki is hoping someone will get her a copy of the Playboy issue featuring Rowdy Ronda. Goldman Sachs might still be a good ol’ boys club, but Clare Lydon is the sexy host of the Lesbian Book Club and has a new les fic novel out  entitled “All I want for Christmas.” And of course- they are pumped about Adele’s new album - 25.
