Phoenix Rescue Mission is a Christian nonprofit that exists to share hope, healing and God’s love with all who are hurting in the Valley. Our mission is to provide Christ-centered, life-transforming solutions to people facing hunger, homelessness, addiction and trauma.  That mission proceeds through a wide variety of programs that address immediate and long-term needs. Taken together, these advance our God-given vision: Love, hope and transformation to every neighbor in the Valley. The centerpiece of their ministry is a residential recovery program for men, women and women with children who need help overcoming one or more life-controlling crises. By addressing our guests’ physical, emotional, financial and spiritual needs, they are well-prepared to lead positive, productive lives once they leave the Mission and become a contributor to our community.

Our goal is to demonstrate the love of Christ by assisting with emotional, spiritual, physical and material needs, enabling women to make healthy, life-affirming choices throughout pregnancy and beyond.​ House of Ruth has deep roots in the Verde Valley. Founded in 1988, thousands of women and families’ lives have been touched and changed by the ministry. Advocating for life of the unborn and strengthening families through loving support and education are the cornerstone of this ministry.

Today I speak with Kelly Hargan, a good friend and partner with CCV. Since 1993, JV has been equipping young leaders to fulfill Christ’s commission through the local church. God is changing lives and he’s changing countries. We are honored to be a part of his mission. Josiah Venture has grown from three couples in 1993 to over 390 staff members today. Our staff, over half of which are nationals, are located in 16 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, along with support teams in the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom. Thousands of young leaders are trained each year by our staff, and through those young leaders hundreds of new believers are entering the local church as a result of evangelistic and discipleship efforts.

Along Side Ministries partners with the local church to make prison ministry a reality in both word and deed.​ Along Side Ministries provides spiritual and practical guidance and support to incarcerated Christian men and women as they transition from prison back to the community and the church.​ Along Side Ministries trains and equips men and women volunteers from the local church to mentor the ex-offender in finding employment, housing, and maintaining accountability. Mentors provide relational support and spiritual guidance.​ Along Side Ministries provides the resources to assist Christian ex-offenders in their re-entry.

Quenched is more than a charity—it’s a movement driven by an unwavering commitment to meet both physical and spiritual needs in regions where clean water and the message of Jesus are scarce. Serving in remote communities, we face challenges head-on, working alongside local leaders to bring hope to those who need it most. Clean water opens doors for lasting discipleship. Each well we establish becomes a gathering place where local pastors form lasting connections, fostering discipleship within communities. By meeting physical needs, we also open hearts to the message of the Gospel. As these communities receive water, they also receive the opportunity to encounter Jesus in a meaningful, life-changing way.

Unidos is a multicultural church that EXALTS God, BLESSES the community, EQUIPS the church, and SHARES the gospel. What is a service like?We start our services punctually with worship songs followed by a sermon and finishing with announcements. What does the Church Teach?Unidos teaches biblical foundamentals. What about my kids?Unidos prioritizes children's biblical education. On Wednesdays, the children from ages 5-12 years old, are checked-in at building C before service to attend Children's Church Service. For children in from the age 0-5 who are not yet in kindergarden they are check-in at Building A (main building). On Sundays, children from kindergarden-8th grade are checked-in at Building C for their classes. Classes are strategically grouped by grades in order for them to receive biblical education effectively.  For the boys, we use the curriculum from Royal Rangers and for the Girls we use the curriculum from Girl's Ministry. For children in from the age 0-5 who are not yet in kindergarden they are check-in at Building A (main building). Are there any youth activities?Yes, many activities for the youth from ages 13-17 and for not married young adults 18-30 years old. On Wednesday the youth must be check-in and then go to their classroom where they have their own bible lesson. Young adults stay in the main sanctuary Both groups have organized outings throughout the month. Where do I park?There is plenty of parking in the front and back of the church. We have ushers ready to assist you. What do I wear?We are a church that focuses on helping others know Jesus. We just ask you to be respectful. In The Beginning Our story is really His-story. Visionaries, sensing the leading of God, from Christian Churches in Phoenix gave birth to UCYC (United Christian Youth Camp) in 1952 with the purchase of 112 acres in the tall pines of Prescott. The first buildings, known now as The Pines were erected in 1953. Log Cabin Village, now known as The Summit was constructed in 1988. But UCYC is more than just buildings. It’s our core values that drive us. We pioneer fun, quality experiences in a safe outdoor setting where the gospel is presented in loving relationships. Over the years we have partnered with churches to meet the needs of young people in both summer and winter as UCYC explodes with programs we plan. In addition, a variety of groups rent UCYC in order to create space away from the normal pace of life. UCYC is a non-denominational, non-profit organization, affiliated with the Independent Christian Churches throughout Arizona and Nevada. We are governed by an Executive Board of Pastors and business professionals who are passionate about seeing lives transformed into the image of Christ. Locally the camp is lead by Executive Director, Joe Zizz, and his team. We get life in ministry. We make it easy and fun for you to camp or retreat. We understand the power of a shared experience in an outdoor setting. We love life transformation – not just in our guests but in our own community. But – don’t take our word for it. Transforming Lives in Mukono The MALACHI Project is committed to enhancing the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Mukono, Uganda. Since 2018, we have partnered with local schools and businesses to provide quality education, nutritious food, and sustainable development opportunities. Our mission is to foster a thriving community where every child has the opportunity for a brighter future. The MALACHI Project began when Tyler Martz and Charles Egonu met while serving together in Afghanistan. Tyler was an American Security Advisor and Charles was a security guard from Uganda fighting to support his family. Inspired by Charles's story, Tyler and his wife Raquel founded the project to help the children of Charle’s village.Today this has transformed to a school for 160 vulnerable children.

I highly recommend it to any church wishing to expand their reach. - Ashley Wooldridge  Don Middleton, D.O. received a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and nutrition from Northern Arizona University. At Western University of Health Sciences in Los Angeles he obtained his medical degree from. Dr. Middleton currently practices addiction medicine at the internationally renowned Meadows Behavioral Health campus in Wickenburg, Arizona after spending 25 years in a private practice in Glendale. He has served in various executive positions of university and hospital medical education and was granted the rank of Assistant Clinical Professor at Midwestern University, where he served as a preceptor and clinical instructor. Dr. Middleton was elected as a Trustee on the Arizona Osteopathic Medical Association state Board of Trustees, and is the medical director for Vital4Men, a series of men’s health clinics. Don has been married for over 30 years to Tracy, and they travel all over the world, including medical mission work in Kenya and Mexico. By far his proudest title is that of “Dad” to four amazing children and “Grandpa” to two grandkids. He loves fly fishing, shooting sports, and bike riding. They have been members of Christ’s Church of the Valley for 20 years.

Larrie Fraley interviews Meshack Manakaze, who is a CCV supported church located in Harare Zimbabwe. Meshack is a dear friend, and I recently just returned from Michigan and had the honor of marrying his son. Misheck came to the US many years ago and sat through training at CCV and went back to Harare and now has nine CCV campuses. Join us today as we hear his journey and what God is doing in Zimbabwe. Hope Partners is an International ministry with a simple mission: To rescue children and transform their lives through acts of compassion in Jesus’ name. How do They Do It? HPI creates “centers of hope” in some of the most impoverished parts of the world to care for the most vulnerable among us. A Hope Center is… A place to learn and grow. It’s a place of joy and, most importantly, it’s a place of HOPE. Each of the Hope Centers is a home base for vulnerable children, providing them a safe place of refuge from abuse, drugs, and sex trafficking. Love & Truth Network is led by Garry & Melissa Ingraham, who both left LGBTQ+ identities to follow Jesus. They later married, have two sons, and founded Love & Truth Network in 2013 to help more people experience freedom in Christ. Many studies reveal that the majority of Christians suffer from sexual and relational brokenness, but most churches lack effective strategies for leading their congregations into safe, transformational recovery. According to Scripture, sexual, relational, & identity wholeness by God’s standards is both possible and readily available for everyone through surrender to Jesus. The idea for Team Expansion was born in 1978, during a small prayer meeting at a Bible college in Eastern Kentucky. There were eight guys in a crowded dorm room and all of them signed their names on a world map. Our president, Doug Lucas, happened to sign beside the country of Uruguay. Four years later, Team Expansion fielded its first team, to Uruguay, by God’s grace. For the next 40 years, Team Expansion continued to send out teams to unreached parts of the world. As we learned more about disciple-making movements and multiplication, Team Expansion evaluated and shifted strategies and tools. But our goal was always the same: to take the Gospel to people who had never heard it before. But over the years, God has grown our team and refined our approach. In 2018 we had 300+ missionaries serving in 40+ countries, we are multiplying disciples and churches among the unreached on a huge scale. Parents with an adult child dealing with substance use disorder involving either drugs or alcohol find hope and support through Parents of Addicted Loved Ones (PAL). Meetings are available all over the country, and lives are being changed every day. It’s not an easy journey, but you don’t have to go at it alone. You are not alone. To have a child lost to alcohol or drug addiction is to suffer a thousand deaths. The more you try to save them from their addiction, the more it burns a hole in your heart.
