Evolving into our true selves sometimes means looking at our shadows. How are we equipped to respond to life events? This was a commentary and some insight from Catherine Whelan Costen/ host and producer of this series of shows. There are many shows on Lets Get Real Chattin with Catherine exploring the many modalities or ways to understand the human condition. This was a short examination of reactions to a violent act; the deaths of two individuals, in particular a little 2 yr old girl. What is our appropriate response to such acts, and what happens when we 'monsterize' a human being when they act out what we do not want to believe is possible for humans? Being outraged is normal, being sad is normal, but fantasizing about ways in which to retaliate is part of the cycle that perpetuates more violence in the world....justifying our horrific acts does not make them less horrific.
