This week on Let's Try Adulting: We have a guest! Rev. Pat Flowers is wife to Marc, who is the Pastor of Bissonnet Baptist Church in Houston, Texas, where they both served in Ministry for nearly twenty years prior to Pastor Marc being installed as Pastor 5 years ago. She's the Director of the Women's Ministry and is active in many in other Ministries as well. She says she is proud of creating the private FB Group Called Chosen Covered, a community of women committed to sisterhood and supporting one another so that they make an eternal impact on others. When she's not chasing her 4 & 2 yr old grandsons around the house, she enjoys cooking, baking and crafts of all types.  She also does a live Daily Devotional weekday mornings at 6:30AM on the church FB page that gives her the opportunity to share the Gospel in a way she never imagined. Rev. Pat is preparing to launch her own podcast, Porch Talk with Rev. Pat in January 2022. Her favorite sport is football, and she's a diehard Tennessee Titans fan. More than anything, however, Rev. A little about Pamela: She is a master of change who has had so many jobs & lived so many places it might make your head turn.  Throughout all those amazing years, even though on the outside things looked impressive, Pamela was white knuckling it in her inner life, struggling to overcome multiple traumatic events that plagued her throughout her life. Looking back, Pamela feels as if she has lived at least 10 different lives! Literally pushing her head up & pulling herself out of difficulty after difficulty, running back into the same patterns, doing the same things all over yet again.  Pamela was longing for something she thought she didn't have. And although she learned throughout the years how to make a life for herself, the yearning continued. Until she realized that the longing she felt was for a meaningful, trustworthy relationship with herself!
