Sunday Service: Psalms of Ascent (Going on Pilgrimage) - Pastor Chris Reyes

Life often leaves us feeling spiritually lost and disconnected, like we're living in a desert. As believers, we are pilgrims on a journey toward spiritual growth, but this requires honest self-assessment of our spiritual condition. We must ask ourselves difficult questions about whether we're connected or isolated, authentic or fake, growing or stagnant. Modern culture's emphasis on instant gratification makes spiritual growth more challenging, as it requires patience and delayed rewards. Psalm 120 shows us that spiritual journeys often begin in distress, not comfort. The key is bringing our honest struggles to God in prayer, remembering His past faithfulness, and choosing to keep moving forward spiritually regardless of circumstances.

Sunday Service: True Riches (Pt.2) - Pastor Manny Mejia

Many Christians struggle with money because they follow the American cycle of consume, lack, and fear rather than God's way. The typical approach leads to anxiety and a scarcity mindset, while God calls us to give first and trust His provision. Jesus warns against greed in the parable of the rich fool, who stored up wealth for himself instead of being rich toward God. God blesses us not primarily to increase our standard of living, but our standard of giving. True financial freedom comes from living below our means, creating a budget, and actively looking for ways to meet others' needs through generous giving.

Sunday Service: True Riches - Pastor Jeff Young

What does the Bible say about true wealth? In a culture obsessed with money and success, Scripture offers a radically different definition of riches. True wealth isn’t measured by what’s in your bank account, but by godliness paired with contentment. Many Americans are weighed down by debt while chasing financial security, yet the Bible warns that the love of money leads to spiritual harm. The Apostle Paul reminds us that we brought nothing into this world—and we can take nothing out—so real riches are found in trusting God, not accumulating more. Jesus highlights this truth in the story of the widow’s mite, showing that God values the heart behind our giving far more than the amount given. Whether you’re struggling financially or experiencing abundance, we’re all called to hold money with open hands, trust God with our resources, and live with contentment rooted in Him.

Sunday Service: Renewal Through Prayer & Fasting - Pastor Chris Reyes

Prayer and fasting are pathways to spiritual renewal that strengthen our relationship with God. We were created in God's image for intimate fellowship with Him, not just obedience. When we become disconnected from God, we often struggle with compartmentalization—living differently in various contexts despite our beliefs. Prayer offers multiple benefits: it builds relationship with God, restores our humanity, brings wisdom, cleanses us from hurt and sin, and transforms our minds. Developing a daily prayer discipline helps us stay connected to God like branches to a vine, enabling us to naturally produce spiritual fruit in our lives.

Sunday Service: A Worthy Life - Pastor Jeff Young

Jesus calls us to live a worthy life that reflects the high price He paid for our salvation. Through His letters to the seven churches in Revelation, we see the dangers of spiritual lukewarmness and compromise that threaten our faith. The church in Laodicea thought they were rich but were actually spiritually poor, while churches like Pergamum and Thyatira struggled with tolerating sin. In contrast, the faithful churches of Smyrna and Philadelphia persevered through suffering and persecution by keeping God's Word and never denying His name. Living worthily means inviting Jesus into every area of our lives, maintaining biblical boundaries while loving others, and growing in spiritual maturity while keeping childlike faith.

Sunday Service: Prayer + Fasting 2026 - Pastor Jeff Young

As we enter a new year, consider making your primary resolution to continually seek Jesus in everything you do. Fasting is a powerful spiritual discipline that Jesus expects from His followers, not as an optional practice but as a regular part of discipleship. The biblical principle is simple: deny your body to feed your soul by abstaining from food while dedicating that time to prayer and seeking God. Fasting creates breakthrough in areas where we feel spiritually stuck, provides protection from spiritual strongholds, and opens our hearts to receive God's vision and direction. Start small with one meal and use that time intentionally for prayer and connection with God.

Sunday Service: The Christmas Journey (Salvation is Here) - Pastor Lana Leahey

Jesus outlined his mission statement by reading from Isaiah, declaring he came to bring good news to the poor, freedom to prisoners, sight to the blind, and to proclaim God's favor. This reveals that God with us means we can be with God, but we must first recognize our spiritual poverty and need for him. Jesus offers freedom from whatever controls us - fear, pride, addictions, or other bondage. He opens our spiritual eyes to see that our real battle isn't against people but spiritual forces. The Year of Jubilee is no longer a date but a person - Jesus himself - who cancels our debts and resets our lives.

Candlelight Service 2025: Sermon - Anticipation has Arrived

When Jesus was born, God chose to announce His arrival to shepherds - society's outcasts and lowest class. This wasn't accidental but intentional, showing that Jesus came for ordinary people, not the proud and powerful. The angels proclaimed Jesus as Savior, Christ, and Lord, giving the shepherds a sign to find Him in a manger among their own community. Just as shepherds faithfully cared for their flocks 24/7, Jesus serves as our Good Shepherd, knowing us personally, providing for our needs, and pursuing us with unfailing love. The Christmas story reminds us that Jesus is accessible to everyone and calls us to surrender not just to Him as Savior, but as Lord of our lives.

Sunday Service: The Christmas Journey (Anticipation from Within) - Pastor Bob Leahey

Christmas anticipation goes beyond excitement for gifts - it reflects the supernatural stirring God places in our hearts when He's preparing us for His purposes. Mary, Joseph, Elizabeth, and the shepherds each experienced this divine anticipation differently, moving from initial fear or confusion to faith and obedience. God continues to work through dreams, heart stirrings, and supernatural promptings today. He gives us just enough revelation to take the next step, often using humble and unexpected people to accomplish His plans. We should live with daily expectation, asking what God wants to do through us and responding in faith when we sense His stirring within.

Sunday Service: The Christmas Journey (Anticipation from Afar) - Pastor Jeff Young

The Bible contains over 300 specific prophecies about the Messiah written centuries before Jesus was born. When examining just eight of these prophecies, the statistical probability of one person fulfilling them all is 1 in 100 quadrillion. These prophecies include Jesus being born in Bethlehem, born of a virgin, preceded by John the Baptist, betrayed for thirty pieces of silver, and riding into Jerusalem on a donkey. Jesus couldn't have manipulated most of these circumstances, as they were completely outside human control. The mathematical precision of these fulfilled prophecies provides overwhelming evidence that Jesus is the true Messiah.

Sunday Service: Youth Sunday - Advent (Hope, Peace, Joy, Love)

This Youth Sunday sermon focused on the beginning of Advent, with youth leaders sharing about the four themes of Advent: hope, peace, joy, and love. Fiona introduced Advent as a 1600-year-old Christian tradition that teaches us to slow down and reflect on God's faithfulness during the busy Christmas season. The word Advent comes from Latin meaning 'coming' or 'arrival,' preparing us to celebrate both Jesus's birth and His promised return. Four students then shared personal testimonies and biblical insights about each Advent theme - Ava spoke about hope as confident expectation in God's promises, Peyton shared about peace through her healing testimony from anxiety, Sawyer explained biblical joy as a gift from God that remains regardless of circumstances, and Drew discussed agape love as God's undeserving love for us while we were still sinners. The service emphasized that the church is one body working together across all ages, with youth being an integral part of ministry rather than just recipients of it.

Sunday Service: Audacious Faith (Bold, Daring, Adventurous) - Pastor Jeff Young

Audacious faith goes beyond quiet belief to bold, daring trust in God's promises even when circumstances suggest otherwise. Like biblical heroes such as Abraham, Noah, and Moses, believers today are called to step beyond what makes sense and embrace God's calling. King Josiah exemplifies this by completely eliminating everything in his kingdom that opposed God, making no room for distractions. Jeremiah's prophetic purchase of land during enemy occupation demonstrates faith in God's future promises despite present difficulties. We are called to unearth our buried audacious faith and trust God's provision over our circumstances.

Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (As Yourself?) - Pastor Chris Reyes

The Great Commandment to love your neighbor as yourself assumes you already love yourself well. Many struggle with self-love because they've accepted false substitutes like possessiveness, dependency, or self-neglect instead of true biblical love. True love is a volitional choice that seeks genuine good regardless of merit or cost. To love yourself properly, you must see yourself through God's eyes, forgive yourself for past mistakes, take personal responsibility for your actions and healing, set healthy boundaries, and develop a theology of self-care. When you understand your worth to God and care for yourself authentically, you can love others from a place of wholeness rather than neediness.

Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (The Call) - Pastor Jeff Young

In a world growing increasingly dark and divided, followers of Jesus are called to love others even when culture grows colder. Despite America's wealth and education, statistics reveal deep brokenness: rising suicide rates, widespread loneliness, and increasing lawlessness. However, believers can combat this darkness through seven practical ways: knowing names and stories, being present and available, meeting tangible needs, practicing hospitality, encouraging others, praying faithfully, and loving sacrificially. Like Isaiah who responded to God's call with 'Here am I! Send me!' we don't need perfect qualifications—just willingness to be used by God to bring His love to a hurting world.

Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (Loving Your Enemies) - Pastor Jeff Young

Jesus calls us to love our enemies, one of the most challenging commands in Scripture. This isn't about warm feelings, but about seeking the highest good for those who hurt us. When we harbor hatred and bitterness, we become enslaved to our enemies, preventing us from fully loving God. Jesus presents seven radical challenges: do good to those who hate you, bless those who curse you, pray for those who hurt you, turn the other cheek, give generously, lend without expecting return, and love unconditionally. This doesn't mean eliminating boundaries or ignoring safety, but choosing forgiveness over revenge and trusting God with justice while we focus on healing and freedom.

Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (Loving the Unlikeable) - Pastor Chris Reyes

Jesus teaches us that love is not a feeling but a choice to meet someone's need regardless of whether they deserve it. Through the parable of the Good Samaritan, we learn that agape love is volitional action that seeks another person's good without expecting anything in return. While barriers like fear, anger, past hurt, and judgment make loving difficult people challenging, the Samaritan demonstrates that true love overcomes prejudice and acts with compassion. The expert in Jewish law could identify loving actions but couldn't overcome his hatred to name the Samaritan who showed perfect love. We're called to go and do likewise, choosing to love our neighbors by meeting their needs even when it's costly or uncomfortable.

Sunday Service: Love Thy Neighbor (The Greatest Commandment) - Pastor Bob Leahey

Jesus identified the greatest commandment as loving God with all your heart, soul, mind, and strength, followed by loving your neighbor as yourself. This isn't just about feelings but total devotion that transforms how we make decisions, spend our time, and use our resources. Our love for God is proven not by Sunday worship but by how well we love people throughout the week. Many of us live such hurried lives that we miss opportunities to see and serve those God places in our path. True neighboring means learning names, praying for people, and being available to help when needs arise. The key is slowing down enough to see interruptions as invitations from God to love others well.

Sunday Service: A Church Engaged (Generous Generations) - Pastor Jeff Young

Generosity is a fundamental aspect of an engaged church, reflecting our spiritual priorities and heart's devotion. The early church demonstrated radical generosity where believers shared everything they had, resulting in no needy people among them. True encounters with God naturally produce generosity in three key areas: our time, talents, and treasure. Jesus emphasized money matters because our financial decisions directly reflect our spiritual priorities. While some consider tithing outdated, it remains relevant as a baseline for giving that predates Mosaic law. When we tithe, we seek God first, reject materialism, find contentment, and partner with eternal purposes.

Sunday Service: A Church Engaged (Intentional Influence) - Pastor Jeff Young

Jesus called His followers the salt of the earth and light of the world, emphasizing their value and purpose. As salt, believers preserve spiritual health and purify their surroundings by standing firm against corruption. As light, they illuminate the path to Jesus for others. Rather than trying to influence masses, Jesus encourages focusing on our immediate influence zone—typically 3-5 people God has strategically placed in our lives. By identifying our 'one' person to intentionally influence and maintaining our distinctive Christian character, we create a ripple effect that can transform countless lives.

Sunday Service: A Church Engaged (Serving Selflessly) - Pastor Jeff Young

Church is not a spectator sport but a community where we are called to serve together, building God's kingdom as Nehemiah and the Israelites rebuilt Jerusalem's walls. Scripture consistently emphasizes serving others as fundamental to our faith, with Ephesians describing us as 'carefully joined together' to become God's holy temple. When we serve alongside others, we create an environment where the enemy cannot prevail, and God uses people of all backgrounds and skills. True engagement means recognizing both our need for community and its need for us, leading to personal transformation and kingdom impact.
