Soul Detox| Day 8 — I Am Fearfully and Wonderfully Made |
Episode in
Love Lessons
Fear has a way of distorting how we see ourselves. In today’s Soul Therapy episode, Dr. Dee reflects on Psalm 139:14 and how identity can become blurred through comparison, complaining, and self-criticism—the 3 C’s that quietly disconnect us from gratitude and truth.
This episode is a reminder that being fearfully and wonderfully made isn’t just something to know—it’s something to return to, especially when fear is loud. You’ll also hear a powerful insight about gratitude: sometimes we need help recognizing what we can be grateful for, and that’s part of the healing process.
Whether you’re participating in the 40-Day Soul Detox™ or listening for encouragement, this episode invites you to slow down, pray, and see yourself through God’s eyes.
🎧 Listen. Reflect. Reset.
The full Day 8 devotional, prayer book, and podcast links are included in this week’s Soul Detox email for participants.

Soul Detox| Day 7| I Am Called by Name
Episode in
Love Lessons
In Day 7 of the Soul Therapy Podcast with Dr. Dee, we continue the 40-Day Soul Detox, a faith-based journey to eliminate fear and break free from the toxic 3 C’s—comparing, criticizing, and complaining.
Based on Isaiah 43:1, this episode focuses on identity and belonging. Fear distorts how we see ourselves, but God restores truth. You are redeemed, known, and called by name. When your identity is rooted in God, fear loses its power and emotional cycles begin to shift.
This episode includes a faith confession, reflection prompts, and practical guidance to help you realign your thoughts, heart, and daily habits with God’s truth.
Perfect for listeners seeking:
Christian encouragement
Faith-based healing
Identity and purpose
Freedom from fear and comparison
There is still more in you.

Soul Detox with Dr. Dee Day 6 — God Is for Me |
Episode in
Love Lessons
What if fear isn’t a lack of faith—but a response to rejection?
In Day 6 of the Soul Detox, Dr. Dee reflects on Romans 8:31: “If God is for us, who can be against us?” This episode invites you to examine how past or anticipated rejection can shape fear and how that fear often shows up through the 3 C’s—comparing, complaining, and criticizing.
God’s acceptance is not conditional or performance-based. When you truly receive that God is for you, comparison loses its grip, complaining quiets down, and criticism no longer defines how you see yourself or others.
This episode includes:
• Reflection on fear rooted in rejection
• Teaching on God’s unwavering support
• A faith confession to realign your heart
• Daily alignment, body care, and heart check prompts
• A closing prayer for assurance and healing
If you’re participating in the Soul Detox, be sure to download the 40-Day Soul Detox Guide and Devotional for daily readings, reflections, and prayers. The link is in the show notes.
God is for you.
You are accepted.
And there is still more in you.

Soul Detox| Day 5 – Deliver Me From Fear
Episode in
Love Lessons
Fear often hides beneath our thoughts, habits, and reactions—shaping how we respond to life without us even realizing it. In today’s episode of the Soul Therapy Podcast, Dr. Dee invites you to slow down, seek God, and experience true deliverance from fear at its source.
Rooted in Psalm 34:4, this Day 5 teaching reminds us that God does not dismiss our fears—He delivers us from them. Together, we explore how fear develops, where it takes root, and how it quietly fuels comparing, criticizing, and complaining.
In this episode, you’ll reflect on:
• How fear begins when we lose awareness of God’s nearness
• Why the need for control intensifies fear
• What happens when trust is divided between God and other sources
• How identity uncertainty sustains fear
• The role imagination plays when it operates without truth
You’ll be guided through a faith confession, daily alignment questions, body and heart checks, and a prayer to help you release what you’ve been carrying and choose faith instead.
This episode is part of the Soul Detox Fast, a journey focused on creating room for God to do the inner work that leads to lasting change.
If you’d like the Soul Detox devotional to support you through this fast, message Dr. Dee on Facebook, Instagram, or TikTok at Dr. Dee Hester with the words “Soul Detox,” “40 Day,” or “There’s More in You.”

Episode in
Love Lessons
Day 2 of the Soul Detox Fast centers on the truth that God is present with you—right now, in this moment.
In this episode, we release the lie that we are alone, abandoned, or unseen. We pause long enough to acknowledge God’s nearness in the middle of uncertainty, pressure, and transition. This is an invitation to rest, recalibrate, and move through the day grounded in His presence.
You’ll be encouraged to:
• Quiet the internal noise that creates fear and isolation
• Become aware of God’s presence throughout your day
• Replace anxious thoughts with truth
• Walk with confidence knowing you are not carrying life alone

Soul Detox — Day 1: God Has Not Given Me Fear
Episode in
Love Lessons
Welcome to Day 1 of the 40 Day Soul Detox with Dr. Dee Hester.
The Soul Detox is a 40-day journey of intentional alignment designed to help you eliminate unhealthy fear and the three toxic C’s—complaining, comparing, and criticizing—and replace them with gratitude, focus, and love.
This journey is not about restriction, punishment, or perfection. It is about awareness, reset, and restoration—learning to notice what has been shaping your thoughts, emotions, and responses, and choosing alignment that supports peace, clarity, and spiritual growth.
Along with daily reflection and prayer, the Soul Detox includes a gentle rhythm of fasting, hydration, movement, and healthy nourishment. These practices are meant to support your body as you detox not only from food and habits, but from fear-driven patterns and emotional strain. Caring for your body is part of caring for your soul.
Today’s focus begins with a foundational truth from 2 Timothy 1:7:
God has not given you a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and a sound mind.
Fear may have influenced your past, but it does not get authority over your future. Today is an invitation to notice where fear has been speaking the loudest and to intentionally respond with gratitude, focus, and love.
Be sure to check your email for today’s full Soul Detox guide, reflection prompts, and daily heart and body check.
