Christianity is reality. The words in the Word are reality. Jesus Christ himself is the way, the truth and the life. The Christian journey is filled with uncertainty and we Christians are helpless and in need of a shepherd. However, in Christ, our helplessness is our best prayer. He hears our heart’s desire as soon as we pray with humility with a heart of helplessness.

If you want to make God laugh, tell him what your plans are. We do not know the destinations in this life, but he does. He did not call us to reveal his plan. Rather he called us to BE his plan. Our challenge allow God to “come help himself to our lives.” He will continue to write each new chapter in the book of our lives. We are his epistles, written not with ink or in tables of stone, but written in our hearts. Whatever the “problem du jour” God says, “I’ve got this.” Our challenge is to trust God for wisdom to walk according to his will for our lives. As men of God, our freedom is to choose to walk one step at a time in fellowship with Him. Our goal is to “choke in the dust of those in hot pursuit of our Lord Jesus Christ.”

God calls men of God to influence others for Christ. We are Christ centered, faith-based and grace-driven. For by grace are ye saved through faith, and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God, not of works lest any man should boast. Men don’t know how to “work out their own salvation with fear and trembling.” How can we who were born in sin work out our own salvation? The answer is only by the grace of God.

A man of God is Christ centered, faith-based and grace driven. Faith must have an object of faith. Our faith is only in Him. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth and the life, no man cometh unto the Father but by me.

Either you are faith based or you are fear based. The default is fear based. However, there is no fear in love but perfect love casteth out fear because fear hath torment. He who feareth is not made perfect in love. A faith-based man is Christ centered. Faith must have an object of faith.

Christianity is not about religion, rather it’s about an intimate relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ. A culture doesn’t suddenly become abased. The decline of a culture and of a people is a gradual erosion. However, our Lord still reigns. Though nations and governments rise and fall, The Word of the Lord liveth and abideth forever.

Beware of the man who has nothing to lose. In Luke 9:24 Jesus said, “he who loses his life for my sake shall save it.” What the church needs today is men of the spirit who are mighty in prayer. O Lord, if there is anything I have left undone, let me be perfect in prayer.

Guest Speaker Gary Stubblefield. The three gifts, what does God do for us, gift of Faith, gift of Hope and the gift of Love. It’s pretty much impossible in most aspects of life to know anything apart from faith. Evidence leads to probability, which leads to commitment and vulnerability which ultimately leads to servitude. Unfortunately, we have come to despise the faith process but faith is essential for knowing.

Special Guest Speaker Ryan Van Deusen. If we come to Christianity just so we can have a better life, then it just makes us god. Is the only reason we come to Christianity just for the sake of ourselves? Upon what does our faith depend? II Corinthians 3 5 Not that we are sufficient in ourselves to claim anything as coming from us, but our sufficiency is from God, (ESV)

God doesn’t expect us to just receive his truth and revelation…he expects us to obey it.  The word of God is to be lived “in shoe leather.”   However, God does not ask for “blind obedience.”  We must examine our heart for the motive behind the action.    According to Ephesians 6, we are in the midst of a spiritual battle.  What is the greatest weapon in the battle?  Love Wins.
