Pride unchecked will lead to a hardened heart. Jesus sends the disciples across the sea of Galilee into a storm, while he sends the crowds away. He Prays for them, He see them in their labour straining against the oars, and He comes to them, revealing Himself in two ways like Yahweh of the Old Testament. Hardened hearts must be softened by an awe-inspiritng view of God in all His Glory.

Mark 6:13-29 describes for the story of Herod and John the Baptist, sketching the characters of two fearful men.. Herod who feared Man; John who feared God. But, the way we live the unwavering, God-fearing life of John is only by the enabling Grace of God mediated through Jesus Christ.

Mark 1 - 6:29, Hebrews 12:1-2, Philippians 3:7-21, Mark writes His gospel as a loving pastor to his and Peter's flock to instruct them in the life of Discipleship; to warn them that following Christ is more than a spectator sport, and to encourage them that Discipleship is sharing in Christ's Life, Mission and Death.

Mark 6:7-13, Jesus is sending us out in Submission to His Authority; He sends us out with a Great Message; He sends us out in Community; Jesus us out in Faith In Him. God is calling us to join with Him in His work, for His Glory and the advancement of His Kingdom.

Isaiah saw a great vision of God, He was cleansed by a Great Atonement, and was commissioned to a Great Work of Ministry. Let's see the same vision and respond in Obedience to Christ's commission to proclaim the great message of the Gospel to the nations.
