In this episode, we discuss the remake of the 1967 Walt Disney Classic The Jungle Book. From updated versions of classic songs like ‘Bare Necessities’ to the same characters and similar storyline as the original, the 2016 remake is a solid film. Starring Bill Murray, Ben Kingsley, Idris Elba and others as voice actors, 12-year-old Neel Sethi is the only on-screen human in the entire CGI-produced film.

Kicking off the start of the blockbuster movie season is Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. Starring Ben Affleck as Batman, Henry Cavill as Superman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane and Jesse Eisenberg as Lex Luthor, Batman v Superman was met with very mixed reviews. 10 Cloverfield Lane. A sequel? Not quite. The plot? There’s a massive twist. Worth the watch? Definitely. Dig into this doomsday thriller with us as we explore what makes 10 Cloverfield Lane stand out from the rest of the pack and change the game once again.  

It’s a slow time for movies at the moment, so we’re breaking out another classic – American Beauty, a definite breakout film for Kevin Spacey. We thought we’d do this film now since House of Cards Season 4 releases today, and Spacey is one of Sam’s favorite actors.  

The 88th Academy Awards ceremony, The Oscars, just came and went. Leo (finally) won his first Oscar, Chris Rock threw out some classic jokes, and the racial tension was certainly present, too. Pulp Fiction. A timeless Tarantino cult classic. What else is there to say? In this first edition of our Rewind series, we take a look at co-host Brad’s all-time favorite film.
