For generations the mention of Blacks, in context to the Bible, has been painted as a cursed and inferior people. However, the Bible reveals a very different image of the descendents of Ham. In this speech, Mel uses familiar scriptures that shows how those of Hamitic lineage are not only a great people, but the lineage of Jesus is full of Ham\'s descendants.

While watching Tyler Perry's recent 8:46 video and hearing him repeat the word "daybreak" I was reminded of a poem I was introduced to in high school, Langston Hughes' Daybreak in Alabama.

A recent speech given during this time of celebrating the contributions of blacks in American history. Most people are unaware that the birth of America was made possible in part to many non-European colonial inhabitants of America. Many blacks, and also native Americans, fought for the Continental Army in the Revolutionary War, were wealthy businesses owners, great scientist and inventors...and so much more.

What do we do when justice fails the family of those who have been murdered by individuals who took an oath to protect and support justice?

How does the word "race" shape our thinking when it comes to ethnic relations? Do we still hold a primitive view of the diversity of humanity? Do we subconsciously hold on to the ancient view and thinking of "races".

One of the most important holiday's in America has been lost due to the greed of retailers and consumers. Thanksgiving is all about being thankfull and enjoying family and friends.

Does America have a responsibility to the refugees coming from Syria and other Islamic dominated countries? Are the concerns of many Americans legitimate?

I believe that Black lives matter, but they should and must matter first to "ALL" Black lives before we can expect our lives to matter to others. Where are our Black leaders when Black lives are taking Black lives...where are the rallyes and marches?

Why are Christians concerned with Starbucks removing secular Christmas symbols, when they have said they don't want our business if we don't support same-sex. What should we really be concerned about?

Is it just a matter of time before American cities face what Paris, France went through on Friday? Was France warned...has America been warned?

Why is it ok for the media to attack Dr. Ben Carson, but President Obama has and still is off limits to public criticism?

Should our government leaders have a right to overturn the vote of the people?

Why is the Black community upset with Raven Symone? And when it's a Black police officer beating a Black youth does it change the dergree of WRONG?
