Los Angeles: An Unexpected Love
Episode in
Millennial
When Megan moved to Los Angeles in 2019, she thought she would fall in love with her job, not the city where her job brought her.
If you’re wondering how you can help Los Angeles move toward recovery after the wildfires, you can donate to:
California Community Foundation's Wildfire Recovery Fund
American Red Cross
Los Angeles Fire Department Foundation
If you'd rather donate to a specific individual or family, GoFundMe has set up a dedicated page where you can donate to SoCal fire victims, first responders, and others through their individual fundraising accounts.

The Show That Was Never Published
Episode in
Millennial
Back in 2021, LA-born TV and podcast writer, director, and producer Erick Galindo and I worked together making podcasts and coming up with different ideas. We made pitches and pilots — some of them saw the light of day, others did not. Today, I’m sharing an idea for a show that was never published. “Close to the Sun” a show about real places and people in a magical city told in a magical way. Narrated by Erick Galindo.

A Story About My Mother
Episode in
Millennial
Happy Mother’s Day!
This story is dedicated to my mother and is about my mother Susan Tan.
For the past nine years, I’ve recorded most of our telephone conversations. In 2019, when my mother found herself in her 70s, newly divorced after more than 40 years of marriage and looking for the next love of her life, I started to record more of our conversations.
What started as daughter-to-mother exchanges of advice, has turned into an eight-part Audible Original series called “Now or Never: How to Find Love When Love Feels Impossible.”
Together, we made this series with the intention to inspire and encourage anyone who has given up on love.
Throughout the series, I am my mother’s dating coach. I help her navigate making a dating profile, scammers, ghosters, going on a first date, getting heartbroken — all the ups and downs of love and dating.
This is episode one.
To listen to the entire series go to audible.com/nowornever.
Thank you so much for listening!
