Making Unconventional Choices in a Conventional World
Episode in
Minimelist
In episode 10 Melissa and Brandon talk about how they have made some unconventional choices in their 14 years of marriage and they gives tips on how they have overcome the push back they received from making these not so "normal" choices.
What our unconventional choices have been.
-Why we moved to Germany
-living in a 867 sq foot house with one bathroom and 3 kids
-food choices, being intentional with our food choices. Becoming vegan
How do we make these choices?
Know your why/ have values in check
Have your statements ready and memorized - because you WILL be asked why!
Let everyone elses expectations and thoughts about you and your choices go. Don’t concern yourself with others opinions. Knowing your why will help. But ENJOY your choices. Don’t get distracted by opinions of your unconventional choices.
GO FOR IT! Don’t let fear hold you back.
Know that people will be curious, they will want to understand because they have never thought outside of the box. They may come across as judgmental but in reality it’s their way of making sense of someones eases choices and reality. If it’s something they have never thought to do before they will want to understand.
