In January Governor Mark Dayton issued an executive order establishing the Diversity and Inclusion Council. The council is charged with improving the recruiting and retention of state employees from diverse backgrounds, improving the contracting process for businesses owned by Minnesotans from diverse backgrounds, and promoting civic engagement.
