Stephen Fletcher talks to Rev Arsene Mafurebe from Burundi. Revd Aresen trained in Burundi at Bujumbura Christian University and was sponsored in his training by Church of Ireland parishes. He has been ministering in Gitega diocese and was recently in Ireland for 6 weeks to share talk about his ministry in Burundi and share in the missional activities of Church of Ireland.

Mulugeta Dejenu is the Regional Programmes Coordinator for Tearfund Ireland in Ethiopia. In this conversation with Stephen Fletcher he explains how Tearfund Ireland is building thriving communities through women’s economic empowerment, and teaching climate resilient farming methods. In the episode Revd Stephen McElhinney, Mission Director of SAMS Ireland, is in conversation with Rev. Daniel Lescano, Vicar General of the Anglican Diocese of North Argentina. They discussed various facets of their work and the Argentinean context. Lescano highlighted his role as Vicar General, overseeing 187 Chaco churches in a vast geographic area amidst economic challenges like high inflation and widespread poverty. They discussed the Anglican Church's extensive presence, particularly in indigenous communities, where geographical barriers and cultural differences pose significant challenges. Lescano emphasised the importance of leadership training and community empowerment, including theological education and agricultural programs for sustainability. They also discussed the cultural significance of drinking maté and collaborative efforts with local organisations to address community needs. Despite the challenges, Lescano expressed gratitude for support from SAMS Ireland and partnering churches. The conversation underscored the ongoing efforts to foster partnerships and address the unique challenges faced by the Anglican Church in North Argentina.
