Basirou Diamaye Faye

He's Excellency President Elect Basirou Diamaye Faye I today wish to say for daring to dream, breaking the odds to believe, taking the necessary actions to conquer and be where you are today, I say congratulations to you and the people of Senegal. Congratulations to he is excellent Marky Sall for allowing this to happen, for letting one of the consistent democracies in Africa to continue to flourish, for this I affirm the spirit of Alkebulan , spirit of our ancestors lives within you and I take this singular opportunity to say congratulations. His Excellency President Elect Basirou Diamaye Faye, you have done what some never dream is possible those who dare to dream fail to believe, and those who dream, believe, fail to take action distinguishing yourself from the rest and igniting the hopes of the youths of all of Alkebulan. Today as we congratulate you and the people of Senegal, we pledge to be with you, you must succeed. You are young and there's an awakening going on in the minds of the youths, in this our motherland, making them more interested in what the Leaders can offer , how productive they are rather than their age or sex or statue which is a good thing. So beware of their plights and expectations for they see you as a beacon of hope for this continent. You obstacles will be many, from our father's who see as too young and inexperienced thinking you don't deserve your position. You must do all to win them, learn from them. They were once young like you and have experienced many challenges so they insight will be most valuable. You must make them to understand thank you are not better than them but you want to do better for them. Let them understand you value their counsel. With the changes you are planning to make, your opposition will also come from within, those who voted for you and those who did not. You must of regard them as well children and your fatherland Senegal and our motherland Alkebulan. Sometimes we know what we want and most times what we want may not be good for us, so please endeavour to look beyond our childishness and give us what we need. Another fierce opposition will come from the west the east and south especially when they see you are doing good for you fatherland and motherland. Be wise when they praise, be nice when they criticize but above all your people come first and the future of Alkebulan is of utmost priority. They all have their agenda which put their people first so your agenda should not be anything less. Once again we pray the spirit of our ancestors be, guide protect and lead you and with the help of the Creator, I pray you be change you dreamed for motherland Senegal and fatherland Alkebuland Tanni Desmond Awa Poet|Spoken Word Artist| Voice Artist Abakwa, Southern Cameroons

Ousmane Sonko

Ousmane Sonko Mama Africa's True son You fought tirelessly, With the spirit of our ancestors Each time you fell, you rose up higher and stronger Causing our enemies to wonder Where your strength comes from You summounted their traps publicly denied their offers You had the senegalese people in your heart Made publicly unelligible, you still proved them wrong Nothing can resists the human spirit That will stake even its existence On its stated purpose for good In humility, you raised another Raised Diamaye, continued the fight For motherland senegal Fatherland Alkebuland Quel jeste technique For if a man has not found something he is willing to die for Then he is not worth living Sending a clear message to your senegalese people its not about you but about them Summounted every foam endured every gloom and doom you kept dreaming, kept knowing, kept believing kept thinking and kept working With the backing of our ancestors today you rejoice In humility, you still smile At your oppressors and enemies Another jeste technique You have shown us leadership is not about position but vision, inclusion above all action With your resilience, your endurance Subservience to your people, I know every obstacle ahead , every challenge, every dark cloud will be made a stepping stone An opportunity for you and Diamaye For your dream of a better senegal, A better Alkebuland is now at your grasp Well done Ousmanne Well done Sonko The hope of the Casamance Mama Africa's true son
