My Chever Journey

Our Chevening year is ending, so we find time in the middle of packing up our things to record this episode of unpacking our feelings about the year that was.

We dedicate one whole episode about our biggest frustration as Filipinos: public transport. We talk to Iya, our Chevening batchmate taking transport planning in Leeds. We also rant against British mangoes! 😂

In this episode, Cel talks to us about health data, traveling in Europe, and her own Chevening journey. Plus, we discuss the stipend each scholar receives in the course of their studies and whether it is enough to sustain them (spoiler alert: it probably isn't!).

On this week's chever: Sam Tamayo and Mark Chan were both from UP but never met & would have probably never been friends. But in London they are flatmates and UCL mates, bonded by the city's curiosities and clarities at the same time, all at once.

Shairra co-founded the first and only behavioral design company in the Philippines. In this episode, she talks about that, her way of decolonizing behavioral science while in Durham, and the way to change your behavior if you have a crush, chever lang!!!
