Former Cabinet Minister and Member of Parliament for East Hanover, Dr, DK Duncan has died. Dr. Duncan died today while in hospital, he was 80 years old. The former Cabinet minister tested positive for COVID-19 in August and was admitted to hospital. A statement from his family said after experiencing some signs of sinusitis and tiredness, out of an abundance of caution Dr Duncan did a COVID-19 test and the preliminary results received indicated that he was positive.

As a result, 2 of them succumbed to their injuries… two others are in critical condition. Police say aM16 rifle was recovered from the scene with 2 empty magazines.

Verene's Views on the Death of African American, George Floyd

In this episode of Talking History's segment, Verene's Views on May 30, 2020, Verene comments on the death of African American George Floyd. George Floyd was an unarmed, black man who died in police custody on May 25, 2020 after a Minneapolis Policeman knelt on his neck for 8 minutes and 46 seconds while ignoring his pleas that he could not breathe. The officer, whose name is Derek Chauvin and three other officers were suspended from their duty. Chauvin was charged with Third-Degree Murder and Manslaughter. Floyd's independent autopsy reports that Floyd died from Asphyxia due to sustained pressure on his neck and back.

Jodian Fearon passed away at the University Hospital of the West Indies in St. Andrew on April 24, 2020 shortly after giving birth to her daughter at Spanish Town Hospital after reportedly being denied admission to two public hospitals.
