New Every Morning

How do you hear from God? It's a huge question that needs to be answered in different ways but in this podcast, I attempt to enumerate a couple of other voices we hear in our lives that may sound like God in giving us messages that could be in line with what He is saying or not. I think awareness for the competing voices in our lives is a great place to start when we want to train in making His voice to be the loudest in our life!

Because it's mother's day on Sunday that I decided to meditate on the very first mom in the Bible who is Eve. This made me realize how she was responsible for starting a cycle that had profound implications on all of humanity, some of which we still feel until today, and also how God gave us a way out of that. If you are particularly feeling hopeless about a repeating pattern of brokenness in your life, this podcast episode may just be a good one for you. 

What kind of world are we all bracing ourselves for? How can we prepare for this big change? I wrestle with this question in this episode and have found an answer from the Bible, as always. Joseph the Dreamer had a version of his own lockdown and in this podcast I meditate on how he was favored, fruitful, and purposeful, even though his limitations. In this podcast I share what I feel is our collective prayer these days: asking for our daily bread. I also talk about the Israelites and how they managed being in the wilderness in Exodus 16, of how God provided while they were in between Egpyt and the promised land. That morning by morning, despite their mistrust, He showed Himself to be faithful and always came through. 

It’s a fair question. In such a time as this, how can God still be in control of all things? Covid-19 is challenging the scope of our control and in this podcast I share my thoughts about how this is making all of us highly anxious. Consequently, I find myself sharing a story from the Bible which shows the kind of control that God reserves for those who believe in Him.
