The conclusion of a message started a couple of weeks ago - we look at truths to hold on to when God doesn't do what we hoped He would.

God hears and answers prayer. But sometimes He doesn't act when on in the way we want Him to. In those times when God doesn't give us what we seek, especially in times of grief or loss, we must wrestle with some hard truths. The next couple of weeks, we will deal with some truths to hold on to when we are tempted to be disappointed with God.

As we start the new year, we will look again at Jesus' command to be the light of the world.

In our final service before Christmas, we look at Jesus' very humble beginnings.

The Christmas season is typically associated with lights, gifts, and the baby Jesus. Those things have their place, but Jesus wasn't born in Bethlehem so we could have a day off of work or a reason to buy each other gifts. He came to save us. In this classic Thanksgiving text, the psalmist calls on all people everywhere to give thanks to the Lord.

Being filled with the Spirit is necessary for knowing and doing the Will of God. More than that - it is the Will of God for Christians to be filled with the Spirit. When we are, it will come out in our praise of and thanks to God.

In our final look at the parables of Jesus, we are going to study what may be a parable or may be an account of something that actually happened. Either way, this parable teaches us, in a powerful way, the imminent danger the unredeemed soul stands in every single day; along with the solution to that danger - repentance.

The parable of the compassionate Samaritan is one of Jesus' most well-known and well-loved stories. It has much to teach us about loving our neighbor as ourselves.

We all know people who have lived in the "far country", far away from the Father. Maybe we have been that person. Just like in today's parable, if that person, if you, will come back to God, He will welcome you with open arms.

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost - that is each and every one of us. He persistently pursues us, and when the lost is found, there is rejoicing in Heaven!

Today, we look at one of Jesus' more unpopular parables - the Laborers in the Vineyard. It is quite unpopular because the landowner does not give some laborers what they think they rightfully have coming to them. Join us as we study what this teaches us today.

We don't know when Jesus will return. When He does, He will require His people to give an account for how they have used and managed what He has entrusted to them. Therefore, we should be faithful as we wait for His return.

Who will go to Heaven? That is one of the most important questions anyone can answer. Some believe they will go there be default or because of who their parents/grandparents were. However, Jesus tells us in today's parable who will be part of God's Kingdom - whose who accept His invitation to come in.

In this, one of Jesus' most difficult teachings, He shows us that we who are forgiven by God should forgive others as we have been forgiven.

In this sobering account, Jesus teaches that there is one thing, one state of being that is unforgivable. Join us as we dig in to this teaching.

What really makes one unclean before God? Is it eating certain foods? Going certain places? Talking with certain people? No! What really defiles a person does not come from without. It comes from the heart.
