One of the most important questions is Who is God? Are there many gods? Is there only one? Is the God of the Bible just one among any number of others? Our text today deals with that very basic question. In it, we will see Who is God and some facts about Him.

God is our maker. He created us in the womb and is involved in every moment of every day.

God does not think or act as we do. His thoughts and ways are higher than ours, as the heavens are above the earth. Nowhere is this more evident than in the area of forgiveness. God stands ready to forgive all who will turn to Him.

What does it look like for a church to be on fire for the Lord? Today, we will answer that question by looking at what the church looked like in its infancy.

The conclusion of a message started a couple of weeks ago - we look at truths to hold on to when God doesn't do what we hoped He would.

God hears and answers prayer. But sometimes He doesn't act when on in the way we want Him to. In those times when God doesn't give us what we seek, especially in times of grief or loss, we must wrestle with some hard truths. The next couple of weeks, we will deal with some truths to hold on to when we are tempted to be disappointed with God.

As we start the new year, we will look again at Jesus' command to be the light of the world.

In our final service before Christmas, we look at Jesus' very humble beginnings.

In this classic Thanksgiving text, the psalmist calls on all people everywhere to give thanks to the Lord.

Being filled with the Spirit is necessary for knowing and doing the Will of God. More than that - it is the Will of God for Christians to be filled with the Spirit. When we are, it will come out in our praise of and thanks to God.

In this short, but powerful text, Paul urges his fellow believers to not be conformed to this world, but rather to be transformed by the renewing of our minds.

In our final look at the parables of Jesus, we are going to study what may be a parable or may be an account of something that actually happened. Either way, this parable teaches us, in a powerful way, the imminent danger the unredeemed soul stands in every single day; along with the solution to that danger - repentance.

The parable of the compassionate Samaritan is one of Jesus' most well-known and well-loved stories. It has much to teach us about loving our neighbor as ourselves.

We all know people who have lived in the "far country", far away from the Father. Maybe we have been that person. Just like in today's parable, if that person, if you, will come back to God, He will welcome you with open arms.

Jesus came to seek and to save that which was lost - that is each and every one of us. He persistently pursues us, and when the lost is found, there is rejoicing in Heaven!

Today, we look at one of Jesus' more unpopular parables - the Laborers in the Vineyard. It is quite unpopular because the landowner does not give some laborers what they think they rightfully have coming to them. Join us as we study what this teaches us today.

We don't know when Jesus will return. When He does, He will require His people to give an account for how they have used and managed what He has entrusted to them. Therefore, we should be faithful as we wait for His return.
