Do marriage right and it can be as close to heaven on earth as you can get. Do it wrong... let's just say it can be a little warmer. Forty-one plus years of marriage, losing our firstborn after successful heart surgery, and just not being ready for all the challenges that marriage brought have given us a passion for helping couples forge a marriage that can flourish in all seasons. Join us as we share our heart, principles from God's Word, and tools and ideas to help you build a stronger marriage. We'll laugh together; maybe shed a few tears together, but most importantly, challenge and encourage you to trust that God can do a work in your marriage as he did in ours. Hopefully, a marriage with no regretz!

The Song of Songs: A Celebration of Love, Romance, and Passion, Part 2

On today's No Regretz Marriage podcast, we take a look at The Song of Songs celebration of physical intimacy. God created sex to be a beautiful part of the marriage relationship. Sex in marriage is not something to hide from, but a gift to be celebrated. We live in a culture that wants the beauty of sex and its positive impact on relationships without the boundaries God set up. By ignoring God's wisdom about sexual intimacy, people get the curse rather than the blessing.

Celebrate! Evaluate! Elevate!

We are past Quitter's Day. Quitter's Day is the second Friday of January. It is named that, because that is supposedly how long people keep their goals for the new year. Since we are past the date, we thought it would be a great time to think about your marriage in three ways and maybe set some goals towards building a stronger, healthier marriage in 2026. Celebrate what is good in your marriage. Recognize what you do well and come up with a way to celebrate you! Evaluate what parts of your relationship can be better. Be honest; none of us have a perfect marriage. And finally, come up with a plan to elevate those parts of your marriage that can be better. Talk it over and be intentional in building a better marriage in 2026.

Forging an Eternal Legacy

"An inheritance is the stuff you leave behind. A legacy is something you forge." As I grow older, I think more and more about what my legacy might be. My parents and in-laws passed a legacy of faith and love to me and Carla. What will our children remember about us? How about our grandchildren or great-grandchildren? Will they continue to pursue Christ and his kingdom? How can we set a path for them to follow. We hope you will join us for this series as we talk about what an eternal legacy is and how you can forge it for your family.

I Can Do All Things...

In Philippians 4:13, Paul tells us, "I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me." This a verse that is often misinterpreted. It does not mean that you do anything you want to and God will enable you to do it. I may want to be able to run a 9 second 100 meters, but I don't have the physical attributes to do so. Just because I follow Christ, it doesn't mean I will be a world-class sprinter because I want to be one. The verse means that anything God calls me to do and walk in, his strength will enable me to do it. God called Carla and I to walk in some hard places. His strength and grace were always sufficient. In today's podcast, we share some of the stories from our journey.

Renewing the Culture: The Call Part 4

We come to our final episode of the Renewing the Culture series. Today, we consider the last of four questions we encourage you and your spouse to ponder and discuss. 1. What is good that I can celebrate and protect? 2. What is missing that I can create and contribute to? 3. What is evil that I need to resist and oppose? 4. What is broken that I can help renew and restore? As you consider this last question, where do you sense God calling you to act and get involved? How can God use you to build the Kingdom and renew the culture?

Renewing the Culture: The Call` Part 3

As we continue the series on renewing the culture, we come to the third question. What is evil that I need to resist and oppose? A tough question and maybe harder to do. We are called to bring down the strongholds of Satan. Is God calling you to be one of those who do this?
