Back for another quick recap of the last few episodes of Survivor 41. We've got some twists to unpack, some moves to critique, and some challenges to judge. Matt searches for his own Survivor legacy in case Ricard ends up being the first player who is deaf in one ear to win the game before he does, and reminds us of how he was "almost" cast in a facebook version of The Real World.

SURVIVOR IS BACK and we're here to talk about the first three episodes of season 41. We're running some fantasy leagues that we have no idea how to score, but mainly just catching the vibe for all the new players and all the new twists that Probst has introduced after this long gap between seasons. We discuss our top picks for potential winners this season, let's see if anyone can call their shot.

Turns out scheduling a podcast is hard. This week we wrap up chat about our watch through Survivor: Panama with a live react to Shane’s FTC strategy, do a little sh*t talking on Manifest, and start a watch of The Mole. On our last episode, Adam McIlwee suggested that we check out Survivor: Panama since none of us had seen it, so we all did our homework and figure out who’s on team Shane. We also drop a little hint about an upcoming guest on the show before combing through some more Survivor 41/42 rumor news. It’s been a minute since we did a deep dive into LOST story beats, so we check in to see who loves love the most. Our good friend Adam McIlwee (Wicca Phase Springs Eternal) joins us after he let us know that he just binged 20 seasons of Survivor. He talks about how Jeff is a game warden puppet master akin to an X-Men villain and that watching every UFC fight has now overtaken his Survivor marathon. We also revisit his experience watching LOST on network TV as it originally aired. Everyone is back on the sauce tackling the backlog of Survivor seasons, so we finally set up a watch log so we can all keep track of which seasons we have and have not seen. Let's make friends and influence people. We play our first round of "Survivor: Lost" where we role play for the cast of Lost in a fantasy season of Survivor. Personalities clash as players head into their first immunity challenge which ultimately sends somebody home. Influence shifts up and down after every interaction and tensions are already running high at camp. Jack takes the lead, Ana Lucia gets soft, and Sayid makes it weird. The Fantasy Draft is here! Jake built out a whole computer system which we'll be using to help us role play and compete in our dream season of Survivor featuring 18 characters from Lost. We set up some of the rules and parameters for the game, and then we all pick our tribes which will compete head to head for immunity in future episodes, until one is ultimately awarded the title of Sole Survivor. On the second episode of Not Penny's Probst, we accidentally change the format of the whole podcast. While running through some scenarios that we think might take place if the characters from Lost were on a season of Survivor, we back our way into an idea for a fantasy draft / fan fiction / role playing game that we'll be bringing back over the course of many future episodes. In the pilot episode of Not Penny's Probst, Jake, Dane, and Matt list their show watching credentials and talk about why they decided to start the podcast. Jake wants to know what everyone would bring to the island if they were on Survivor. Matt gives his take on The Bye Bye Man which was directed by Jonathan Penner (Survivor), and Dane starts at The End of Lost by addressing the divisive series finale. Sam Yarmuth (Triple B Records) joins us to answer some questions about a record he is releasing for a Survivor supergroup called Dragonz, a Rock Band inspired project from Benjamin "Coach" Wade, Courtney Yates, and James “J.T.” Thomas spawned during their time on Ponderosa while filiming Season 20 of the show (Heroes vs. Villains).

Welcome new recruits to the most ambitious Lost x Survivor crossover event in podcast history. Jake, Dane, and Matt will be cruising through whatever hot gossip and juicy tidbits they can cook up about their favorite early 2000's television programs based on strangers trapped on an island. In this promo teaser for our very first episode, we find out from our friend, Sam, that in one of the greatest Survivor seasons of all time (Heroes vs. Villains) the castaways spent their down time watching LOST on DVD after they were voted out. A serendipitous introduction foreshadowing many more conversations about how these two shows may or may not intersect.
