In this lesson, Pastor Miller Numbers 36 where concern is raised that tribal allotments could be lost from one tribe to another. The law that was previously made when Zelophehad’s daughters inquired of Moses about their inheritance is now be altered again. These women would be required to marry within the tribe so the land allotments would not be given to other tribes. In this sermon, Pastor Miller covers 1 Samuel 1 where Hannah cries out to God for a son. Hannah was a woman with great problems in her life. She was infertile in a culture that valued women for their ability to produce children. She lived in constant conflict with a rival wife named Peninnah who provoked her and reminded her of her infertility. Hannah responds by taking her problems to the Lord and promising to dedicate the child to God. She trains Samuel and then releases him to serve the Lord. Hannah was a mother who successfully set Samuel on track to serve the Lord with his life.
