Personal Project

Avery reconnects with author and teacher Aisha Sabatini-Sloan. The two discuss their unique meeting at the New England Literature Program, thinking in visuals, the concept of fiction as a vibe, and the complexities (and joys) of teaching today.

Avery sit’s down with London-based DJ Louise Chen. Louise tells Avery about growing up speaking four languages, communicating via pop culture, and subtle sexiness in music - plus much more!

Avery talks with Jason Stewart, co-host of the podcast How Long Gone about Jason’s youthful roots documenting the hardcore music scene, the inception of How Long Gone, and the value of Deep Work.

Avery talks to Cami Jetta, the chef and owner the Brooklyn restaurant Dinner Party. They cover Cami’s culinary roots, the movie Ratatouille as inspiration, and the hell that is trying to hold two fundamentally opposed truths.  -- Hosted and Produced by Avery Friedman.
